For work, I find a suitable picture on the web, or make my own and email it to people with an appropriate message.

In the past I've even produced a do it yourself card in word and sent that saying "if you really want to something to put on your mantlepiece, print this off and fold along the dotted lines", but then people know what I'm like! ;)

I've never understood the point in sending them to work colleagues, although some may become friends you only spend time with the majority because you have to.
It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die

  • We do the 'poster' thing at work, using a flip chart, everyone can sign it, leave a message and add their money to a collection, which we usually give to the local hospice.

Last year, I was so stressed and rushing around like a mad thing, I never go around to sending any Christmas cards....i did buy them, but never found the time to write & post them...will be interesting to see if i get any back this year from people who think i have forgoten them!
  • I think this is a great idea and I'm sure they'll all be grateful for the biscuits. If only I could do the same where I work but I'm a shift worker and we have 4 different teams that cover the place 24 hours a day 7 days a week, someone would be bound to miss it and then I'd be that stingy woman who didn't buy enough biscuits (plus we share the building with at least 2 other firms and certain people in those firms would think nothing of stealing said biscuits for their own lot!).
PROUD TO HAVE DEALT WITH MY DEBTS
