HELP!! reformatted laptop by mistake

It is worth contacting the manufacturer, even though it is out of warranty.
I had a problem with my Dell laptop, and they sent me the re-install discs free of charge. I'm not saying Acer will be as cooperative, but it is worth the price of a phone call.I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0 -

I did that with a friend's ACER laptop.
They sent the VISTA install discs FREE OF CHARGE.0 -

It's not really clear what's the matter with this machine. Can you copy the FAT error message ad verbatim for us?
