HELP!! reformatted laptop by mistake

    It is worth contacting the manufacturer, even though it is out of warranty.

    I had a problem with my Dell laptop, and they sent me the re-install discs free of charge. I'm not saying Acer will be as cooperative, but it is worth the price of a phone call.

    I did that with a friend's ACER laptop.
    They sent the VISTA install discs FREE OF CHARGE.

  • It's not really clear what's the matter with this machine. Can you copy the FAT error message ad verbatim for us?

    You may only need to restore the bootloader.
