come and live in the real world , i would have thought that there are just as many kids with ipad,phone/pods as adults , most of my daughters friends seem to be armed with at least a pod , they are marketed at kids just as much as adults

i would have thought that the easiest way to get around this is to have one password to log in to your itunes account and then a separate password required for any transactions ,

I can't see anyone on this site condoning the sharing of CC details - that's the problem.

the easiest thing is to set the child up with their own itunes account with no credit card details and that way parents can not get themselves into a mess .

  • There is a option to control in-app-purchase from iPhone, Settings->General->Restrictions->In-App Purchases, swith to off.

Good result OP, I am really glad for you. We had to contact Apple recently as someone had fraudently bought 2 "gangsterz Rock" games totalling £90!!!!!!!!!!!!! on my husbands account from his gift card credit.
After googling it there seemed to be lot of similar instances. Anyway good enough Apple refunded immediately.

My daughter doesn't have a phone or an ipad or a laptop/computer because she is only 7! My husband let her use 'his' ipad' for short periods of time to play child like games.

The only thing she does have is a basic ipod that plays music only.
