Hi
Well done OP on getting your refund, and rightly so.
Can anyone please tell me how to delete my card details from itunes? I tried before but it didn't work and I'm still able to buy things. Or maybe tell me how to at least change my password? I've heard how people can get hold of your details somehow and steal lots of money by using your account.
I'd like to only use itunes vouchers from now on.
Thanks.£2 Savers Club 2011 (putting towards a deposit) - £588

"audio or video recordings or computer software which have been unsealed by the consumer" are exempt from the Distance Selling Regulations.
But would it be for downloaded apps and in-game things like this that are not 'sealed' so are not capable of being 'unsealed', and do not have licence or End User agreements etc in the same way as shrink-wrapped physical purchases ?0 -

If people actually do this kind of thing 'on purpose' then more fool them as there is no guarantee i tunes will refund and it could back fire.
I know that I certainly didn't hold out much hope that they would refund but obviously I am delighted they did however I would have had to take it on the chin if they refused to refund as I do take our part in this seriously as we went head long in to allowing of downloading 'free' apps with out researching implications or restrictions which I now (with a more knowledge) realise we should have done.0 -

Oh sorry I thought you were implying that we 'set up' this whole thing.. a little defensive after the other posters who are implying we did all this so we could then use the 'gems' ??!!
Sorry0 -
Wow, great customer service!
Lets hope others learn from your mistake OP
I'm not entirely convinced that profiteering from a system where youngsters can easily buy insanely overpriced tokens without having to re-enter passwords and then quickly refunding anyone who "might cause negative publicity" to placate them and hopefully avoid negative media coverage really qualifies as "good customer service"...But would it be for downloaded apps and in-game things like this that are not 'sealed' so are not capable of being 'unsealed', and do not have licence or End User agreements etc in the same way as shrink-wrapped physical purchases ?
I'm pretty sure the DSRs only apply to tangible goods (i.e. physical objects), so downloaded applications aren't covered at all.0 -
Pleased you got a satisfactory response from iTunes.
