Kevin is technically correct. You're current rate is 43.3p and it will revert to 21p on the 1st April with no change in line with inflation.16 x 250W JA Solar Panels (JAM6-60-250) : Fronius IG TL 3.6 Inverter : South Facing : 28 Degree Pitch : No Shading : Manchester M460

I believe that those of us with eligibility dates between 3 and 31 March have a "current" rate of 21p, would be nice to see it rise with inflation!

I too thought you'd be getting 43p for first few weeks then dropping to the new 21p rate when it starts. Since I don't have that sort of contract, I could of course be wrong.
I'm sure it will rise with inflation - but not of course until it's had a year at the initial rate.NE Derbyshire.4kWp S Facing 17.5deg slope (dormer roof).24kWh of Pylontech batteries with Lux controller BEV : Hyundai Ioniq50 -

The 43.3p rate is going up to to 45.4p due to inflation from the 1st April.
The current 21p rate will remain unchanged.
Export tariff with raise from 3.1p to 3.2p.

Sorry to hear about your dog. Is it OK?
What happened to the bull terrier? Was it running loose?
Thanks for clarifying. So my 21p rate is unchanged then. On the contract it only mentions 21p so is the 'current' payment for those of us with post Mar 3rd installs.
Thanks for you concern! He will be fine, very shaken (as are we) has 2 wounds on his foot that were rather nasty and is bandaged and on meds and painkillers. The bull terrier was running loose and due to lack of communication the dog handler wasn't aware of our call to the police and found the dog sitters looking for the dog and gave it back! They have a babyThe owner is their mum. I'm waiting for the police to let me have her details as obviously I'll be taking it further and contacting the council. The dog handler was only aware of our neighbours call to police when the dog was trying to get into their house and attack their dog.....but he didn't get in and thats where the police dog handler caught him.
Wish the weather would brighten up - I could do with watching the generation figures add up to keep me busy!16 x Sanyo HIT 240w panels, 3.84kWp, south facing, 30 degree slope in the SW, 4.4 Eltek HE-t inverter installed 27/03/120 -

Like many people - perhaps the majority of domestic pv system owners - this will be my first experience of a rate change, and I bow to Jackie's greater experience. In any case I'll be doing my own calculations; and if, like many people, I'm going to be more than 30% over the standard estimate for my system, I'm going to take a time-dated photo of the export meter as well.

My FIT payer (E-On) didn't seem to know how to work the rate change last year, I rang them several times and no-one was sure whether it would be pro-rata'd, done on an estimated basis or whether I needed to submit a reading. In the end I took a reading and submitted the two readings separately at the end of my next quarter.
This year they've asked asked for a reading to be taken - the following was in the email I received with my last quarterly FIT statement:
Please read your generation meter on 31 March 2012. Keep this safe and provide it with your next quarterly reading. This will help us to make an accurate payment to cover the price change that will be implemented by the Department of Energy and Climate Change. The new prices have not yet been published. For updates on this price change, please visit http://www.decc.gov.uk/
Personally I prefer to take a reading and know I've definitely been paid correctly for what I've generated.

Some may be surprised, but went to my invertor expecting to find a higher peak today than on any of the hot sunny days we have had recently. The peak until the cooler weather arrived today had been 2.7 (3.96 KwP system) and todays touched 3.7.
Due I believe to a cooler clearer atmosphere in the clean northerly airstream that reached us today.0 -
Sorry to bother you all again, but here's a last (hopefully!) update on FAQ's thread, with a couple of final questions,Martyn1981 wrote: »Just to say, I've tidied up the main post, and deleted some of my subsequent posts concerning amendments. I think it's about as good as it's going to get at this stage. But please let me know of any useful threads that can be added, as and when they evolve. Cheers.
Thanks for all help and suggestions.
Just 2 more quick questions please,
1. Section 5 on monitoring, can anyone suggest a good weather site to add, or are they all as good/bad as each other.
2. Section 7 giving a brief explanation of PV kit, names, jobs etc. Can any installers, or clued up individuals let me know if that section is ok as a description of an average install? If not, suggested changes would be gratefully received.
Thanks again.
Mart.
Other than that, time to put it to bed, or maybe more aptly, set it free to make its own way in the world, or perhaps live in the wild with all you MSE'ers.
Thanks again

Cooler temps plus benefit of reflected light from clouds (apparently) makes for overall more energy hitting the panels. Surprised that the difference is that great though.
