Why do Sky get away with ripping people off?

I dont think it is quite as bad as you are painting it. I pay about £20 a month because I think it is worth paying for the documentary and some other channels.

I dont pay the extra for the HD but still get the basic HD that is available on freesat.

I dont pay for multiroom but I do have sky in my living room, bedroom and kitchen all run off my Maplins 6-way aerial amplifier.

That's the way to do it ... unless you want to watch different Sky channels on different TVs at the same time, then you do not need multiroom.

I hate Sky with a passion and there's no way I'm giving them another penny of my hard earned! If you like football like me you're screwed because they know people will pay it to watch the games well not anymore! I'm going to Virgin Media & I'm going to get the Broadband, unlimited calls & Virgin HD+ box a Virgin HD box & the XL TV package with ESPN! It will average out over the 18 month of the contract £55 so I'm happy with that!

As for the football I'll go online for that & watch it there, £3 a month & all the games I want plus the saturday 3pm games!:D
