Happy Birthday Greenbee, Glad to see you and OH are dealing with things and that you are carrying on with your life
Pigpen - lovely fellow and LO - a picture for framing
DH has the right grumps today - too much work hassles and he's getting depressed a bit too - off to see if I can cheer him up

LameWolf, so sorry the BD and pups are getting to you. I'll come over and lock them in the shed right at the bottom of the garden where they can't get to you. Big hugs (((((Wolfie))))) x
Grumswifie, don't worry that you think you haven't done much. It's lovely having the house to yourself and you're entitled to just have a slow start - it's fine! Just do little bits of 10 minutes if you feel like it and you'll be surprised what you can do.
Piggers, I've no idea how on earth it's 2 - I'm sure it's only really 12 but the number 1 has dropped off somewhere.
Now for my HHC update:
Monday ~ Kitchen and Dining area - ALL DONE!!!
Tuesday ~ Living/family room, hallway and stairs ALL DONE!!!!!
Wednesday ~ Bathroom and study/pc area - ALL DONE!!
Thursday ~ Master Bedroom and Landing! - ALL DONE!!
Friday ~ Childrens/spare rooms - ALL DONE!!
I'm so pleased to get everything done from the lists ... or it could be I'm a bit sad! I have to say I am a bit limited in what I can do because DS's room is covered with DH's clutter (old files/boxes etc which he hasn't sorted yet - hence DS not got a lot of floor space, poor lamb) but I've done what I can. DD is a serial hoarder and she has to sit with me to weed stuff through, normally with tears (hers) involved.
I can honestly say that Flying is helping me to slowly reclaim my house and I am just eternally grateful for all the help and support I get on here. You'll never know how much you're all doing to help me xxFlymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0 -
Hello all
very busy with the post xmas clean up here.
But I just have to blow my own trumpet -
For a long time now my PC has been making a dreadful noise which my computer/IT geek/elctronics genius BIL diagnosed as an overheating fan (I think - he said the fan was definitely dirty and shouldn't be making the noise it was). He told me I needed to strip it down and clean it.
So I didn't.
Anyhoo, this morning I had to phone county IT support and the bloke there (clearly also a geek) asked if the noise he could hear OVER THE PHONE was the PC. I shamefacedly admitted it was and he said the same as BiL.
So I got my cheapie compressed air out and have stripped it down and removed a ton of dust.
And put it back together.
And it works.
(phew!)
and I have now renamed my PC
SILENT RUNNING.
Go me! - I am SO proud of myself.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Anyone have any thoughts on keeping old diaries?0

OK.... soup and bread cooked (and half the soup eaten for lunch with MrH). And the compost bin has been filled, and the last little bit of half-rotted compost from the other bin has been turned on top so the filling bin is absolutely full, and I've covered it over with black plastic. And done some tidying round the garden (picked up rotten fruit, put a wheelbarrow away, took the Xmas tree to the burn heap). And had a bath afterwards to warm up, and cleared up the kitchen, and got a meal out for tonight, and washed up......
so I suppose I ought to whizz round my bedroom now with the duster and hoover as I can't put it off any longer
Anyone join me for a HHC till 3:00-ish? Have to leave on school run then.... I'm starting right now.....
MissH

VALLI - Nice one! BIL isn't always wrong then??!!! lol. I may do that to my SKY box; its out of contract/warrenty anyway and has been humming for ages now. If I break it then I'll cancel the subscription because I'll have to when I move anyway - only downside is they have my phone and BB too so I'll lose the interweb.....
Happy Birthday GREENBEE!
SEAFARER'S - I like purple too. Purple shoes on a wedding day are perfect. Glad the dress fitting went well.
Going to have a cuppa and read as many back-posts as I can before the school run.
I have done most of the weeks list stuff; only because of the move most things have been sorted and cleaned anyway so for the first time I feel ahead of things with the housework! So today I have:
Dailies (WM/TD/DW)
Bin Bag Dance
S&S Bathroom ad Kitchen
Paperwork/appointments/post Ebay parcels
Transfered the first £80 of Ebay sales to my savings account! :T
And tonight, my brother and his mate are coming to clear the garage/outhouse for me and dump it all (mate works for the council so can use their big flatbeds and get in to the dump after dark!) So I will donate £50 to their Beer Fund  and I am still £100 better off than using the skip hire! Sadly the garage is full of naff stuff that is not Ebay sellable; the EX let his builder mate use the garage to store stuff and then left it all here when he moved out. They were both advised months ago it had to be cleared and they took what was needed and left the rest.... :mad:0 -

Not yearly appointment type diaries. I just transfer the important info into the new one and chuck it away in Febish time.0 -
I am not really planning on doing any of the list but will post it anyway in case it kicks me up the bum.
2 loads of holiday washing done and 2 left to do. I am waiting until one dries before doing the next or we will descend into madness. Luckily as it was an outdoorsy holiday most stuff doesn't need ironing, the small amount we do have will either be done tomorrow or at the weekend as OH has a weekend of report writing ahead of him.
I am going to spend the rest of the afternoon trying to find some possible wedding venues. We have a couple of ideas but until we decide on the ceremony we can't do anything else. I think trying to do it within 6 months may be madness but we shall see, it will all depend on the venues we pick.
