Hi Muffin
Thanks for asking. Being able to make OPs is important to me!
I'm on their life time tracker deal. 1.8% above BBR.
No set up fees, no early withdrawal penalties, any amount of OPs and no charges.
Seemed too good to be true, so when I checked I was expecting to be told 'no', but within 24 hours of applying I've had an email today to say it'll start when my deal ends!0 -

I completely understand as I have 1 spoilt cat and mine does eat like a Queen!

Well, I've managed to pay a load off the mtg this year. also v pleased with the deal i got back in feb with hsbc and the acc enables me to OP as much as I like.
next year i want to pay £10k off my mtg through the standard payments and OPs. will be tough now that I've taken a drop in pay (but nicer work so happy with that!) but possibly doable!
I can't begin to say what a diifference this forum has made to my habits and thinkingthe past couple of years. took a while to change my mindset, but changed it now is! :cool:0 -
I love your username!
Well done on clearing £9k off your mortgage! Now a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0 -
Well bank confirm my mtg will be finished 1.1.2029 if I OP at current rate and interest doesn't change. That's 16 years. I like the sound of that more than saying 2029!
I think I am going to try to OP more from April. Am determined to reach the max limit for this year's cash ISA first.0 -
Have reached a mini-mile stone.
On 1st Jan 2029 my mortgage will be repaid (assuming rates/repayments/OPs don't change).
That's 15 years to go!
181 more payments starting 24 Jan 13!
Sounds much more manageable than thinking in terms of £106k!:rotfl:0 -
Loving your very colourful sig cats, looks like you have lots of projects in the pipeline for 2014
Never thought of MF in terms of remaining payments before, think ours would be in the 260s on current fix.know thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0 -
Hello
Just wondering how you are getting on?Target roughly 75% LTV before Feb/March 2021 (20% LTV = £40,999) - OP'd so far 763.51 out of 5 yr goal - £40,235.49 to go!:rotfl:0 -
Monie
I am really pleased with how it's going!
I've managed to get my mortgage down to just below £92K.
I overpay every month without fail.
Due to pay off in June 2028.
Thanks for asking!0 -
Hi, I noticed your thread on the front page so had a read, well done on your OPs so far.
In case you are tempted by takeaway at all I have a suggestion. If you are a fan of cooking then look at the BBC good food website, I make all my own chinese takeaway type dishes now, they don't take long, are cheaper and I think they taste better too!
Looking forward to watching your progress.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200
