Text Speak - a Vent

I only use text speak on text messages (limited number of characters per message), but even then I try to use apostrophes and full stops as it makes it a bit easier to read. I don't like it at work when some one sends an e-mail with text speak - very lazy there, especially as we can go on 'busy' (I work in a contact centre) to stop receiving calls if we have to make the other members of our team aware of something or send an e-mail to a specific team in the office.Cheltenham Dude

Text speak & poor grammar is irritating, but people de-railing other threads over a miss-placed apostrophe is also irritating.
I'm an editor, so it's very easy to be pedantic & nitpicking, but I find self-proclaimed grammar police can be as annoying as the text spakkers (as I like to call them).0
