Neff & Miele and Bosch

I've just come on here to ask a very similar question as I'm in the market for a new dishwasher.
Our current one is a bottom of the range Miele and the pump has stopped working after only 4 years! Also, the turbothermic fan stopped working just after 2 years and Miele were going to charge £150 just for the privilege of having one of their engineers look at it. I'm really annoyed at this as I actually LOVE my dishwasher and it washes everything beautifully (although plastics are still damp, but that is just a general dishwasher thing).
The pump works fine if the outlet pipe is lower than where the current outlet drain is but as we can't move the drain, moving the pipe is not an option.
The cost of repairing it is more than replacing it with a Bosch (including the turbothermic fan), so it makes sense to replace it. I'm looking at Bosch because I can't face the huge Miele parts bills if something goes wrong again. We are using a local repair company with a very good reputation and low labour cost but the parts make the cost of repair so high.
The replacement cost of buying a new bottom of the range Miele is £150 more than repair but buying a new mid range Bosch is £50 cheaper.
Another thing I love about my Miele dishwasher is the cutlery tray, which means all cutlery is always spotlessly clean.
I'm still no nearer to deciding but I think I may end up with a Bosch or Siemens, depending on price. The repair cost of Miele is just too off-putting.0 -
I'll be getting a dishwasher for the first time in a few months. I won't be buying a Miele as the initial cost plus possible repair charges are simply too much to justify the possible extra useful life.
I'll be going down the Bosch/Siemens route - I already have a Bosch washing machine and it has been virtually no trouble in 7 years.0 -
bosch/neff/seimens use the same parts so find the one you want then go for the cheapest out of the 30

We are pretty much "all Bosch" now, with freezers, fridges, dish washer, washing machine and hob. We have a 23 year old Miele oven still going strong, but if it needs replaced that will likely be a Bosch too.0
