Hey IWAH, sounds like you've had a pretty rough time of things. I have to say, I feel so much better now I've gone no contact with the ex. I still have my moments, but nothing like how it was. It also gives you a bit of control back, which is really important if the other person seems to be calling all the shots. Of course my ex hasn't tried to contact me since I did this soI haven't had my resolve tested, but I would definitely recommend it. Not that I'm any sort of relationship guru mind you....

If you fancy a laugh - watch Goldie Horn on the British Comedy Awards (I'm sure it'll be on YouTube soon!). She was absolutely hammered

Hi you. Well I definitely think you should tell your family to stop asking questions. Talking about stuff all the time is like breaking no contact really, it just sends your brain into a spin and can drive you insane. I've learnt that the hard way - and I'm still a bit naughty at asking people at work "innocent" questions to find out information. That's the last thing I've got to stop!
I only dicovered Miranda's show in December - I love it! So pleased she won the awards as well.
Hmmm, hobbies to get out of the house...? A class of some sort - sport/fitness/night class? What about geocaching (I think that's what its called?), its like a treasure hunt for grown ups. Seems to be the new in thing. I'm in the same boat (ooh, sailing??
) but the whole 'meeting new people' thing is easier said than done.... [STRIKE]Total debt 1.11.10 £23,446[/STRIKE]Save £6k in 2015 #129 £6121.66/£6000Save £6k in 2016 #39 £6000/£60000 -
Hi IWAH
I agree with Copperjar - You need to speak to your family and ask them to stop speaking about your ex and asking questions.
Tell them why and hopefully they will stop.
Hobbies to get out of the house? How about a short course at college or military fitness - trawl the internet for ideas and inspiration

Tomorrow will not be my 10th NSD as I'm going out with friends. I feel like I haven't been out for 2 years, when realistically it has been a month. I am cutting down these spends by wearing clothes that I already own.
I have spoken to the family. Actually it was more like I bit my mothers head off at the first mention of the ex. But it got the point across and having a nicey nice chat wouldn't have had the same effect, as she then told everyone else not to mention anything. We've had no contact this week, and I have to say, it has been nice.
Well apart from the night out tomorrow I have no plans for the weekend. I may pop out for a walk for a few hours and get a run or two in, but nothing other that that. I don't want to plan too much as I know i'll jut be disappointed when I cancel on myself. :rotfl:
Hey IWAH
Sometimes snapping at people is the best way!! :rotfl: Other times its not but on this occasion it sounds like the best thing to gain the outcome you wanted - Glad your mum got the message.
Have fun on your night out tomorrow.
