    Evenin all
loads of action on here but am really tired so a big hello to all
another sale on amazon so only one item left - will post this tomorrow and then I officially have nothing else worth selling that I can declutter in my house! :D although there still seems to be piles of things lying around it is much easier to know where everything is!
have taken pack lunches in everyday this week as was getting into a habit of spending whilst at work ..so some money saving there!

still need to sort out situation for my place as sure will feel better once I have a bit more sense of what is happening - feels like a bit of a milestone round my neck at the mo having that to pay as well!

no more grand money-making schemes up my sleeve ;) any ideas send them my way...

right off to bed for early nite- nite all!

    Cheers Froggy
its hard sometimes to stay positive in a horrible situation...
glad you are feeling more positive about the situations
on the plus side should know by this week about flat/bathroom then can put the wheels in motion in decorating and selling/renting ... that should take some of the pressure off when its done (or at least I know its happening!)
off to see some friends Friday nite which Im really looking forward to as havent caught up with them for a while and I know itll set the world to rights whatever else is going on! then for a couple of chilled days out with mrtyo so really looking forward to it...only 2 more days to go... :)

    Afternoon all!
Monthly update ..have just checked online and my mortgage-savings balance for this month is.. £124 985.91 :T:beer:
still a bit  compared to lots on here but am pleased with that result and with the amount I am now managing to save each month!

have had a goodish week with NSDs - am realising tho most of my "fun" spends each month goes on food and drink!! in terms of coffees and cakes with friends or pub (tho we dont drink much alcohol so not too excessive) or "treats" for the week...need to collar this somehow as Id rather spend it on something thatll last longer than a chocolate bar! ;)

night in with 2 good friends last nite which was lovely, and largely put the world in perspective too! me and mrtyo chliling today and a film and takeaway tonite - were gonna go out but am feeling knackered and a bit pants so went for the easier option! gonna search for takeaways with money off offers tho!

must keep remembring this is a marathon not a sprint - if I could be MF in say 2 years I may stick out where I am but for 7-8 years its just not doable - but I need to remember the positives and not dwell on how pants it feels right now!

    have a good saturday all

Still job hunting - at the moment feeling pretty down on myself due to the whole work issue - have a list of things to do on that front next week..

    Hey TYO

A "lazy" way to order takeaway is through www.just-eat.co.uk and you can get cashback through Quicdco.. A treat, but the MSE way!

Well done to you & Mr TYO for bringing that balance down!!

To combat your chocolate & treats, why not make your own? Cookies, cakes, flapjacks??..

This is exactly my problem too! I'm liking Froggy-G's suggestion of making cakes and things though to substitute for the chocolate fix, need to motivate myself to do that of an evening rather than just veg on the settee.

Good luck with the job hunt. I've worked places before that have really got me down and it's no good for you at all. I really hope that something good comes up for you.

Am working on an easy Cookies recipe, will get back to you when it has been perfected! :D

Hey Rach - spending definitely a big part I need to cut down on - definitely also part of "cheering myself up" ...good idea on the baking! or maybe set myself an amount within the food budget/fun spends - say £10 and spend it all on chocolate/cans of drink and when its gone for the month its gone...! Thanks for the wise words re: the job hunt,
Froggy- look forward to the cookie recipie! ps just watched Salt which I noticed you had your eye on too- it was good! (but then again Im a girl who doesnt really like action type movies so from a mans point of view it may be not so good- tho mrtyo seemed to enjoy it! ;) )

If you have a costco near you, you can buy a box of 72? lumps of frozen cookie dough for £5. Might help give you the shop flavoured sweet spot? You can bake the right amount of them and have them very soft and doughy or more firm.

Oooo katsu you had me googling the nearest costco to us after that post!! :rotfl: sounds yummy - we have one about half an hour away but wasnt sure how you go about joining - mrtyo used to have a macro card I think but not costco- so any tips anyone?...

Had a lovely and mse weekend - takeaway yesterday was yummy and we had enough leftover for today - 2 dinners for £19 , and watched a film we got for xmas last nite.

Day out today using some tesco vouchers we had exchanged so that was great- got a good walk out of it and chatted lots , helped destress me too about a lotta stuff! Tenner of fun money spent on coffee and cakes and we had to pay a bit for parking - but moneysaving other than that!

Only about a fiver of fun spends left this month so must be careful with it! ;) is okay as mostly socialising cheaply for rest of the month and food etc.. we either already have in or is within food budget so just need to streeeeetch my fiver! :rotfl: girly weekend with friends next weekend, then nothing planned for one after, then itll be payday again - yay!

On the "stop-buying-sweets" front ..madechocolate krispie cakes all from stuff in the cupboards- but the chocolate was "cake covering chocolate" (with a pic of chocolate krispie cakes on the front!) and tastes horrible!... ...will definitely buy normal/value chocolate next time to make them as this is what usually use and they come out much better!
Oh also spent some time on freebie boards earlier and managed to track down free magazine , free haircut (need to send off something to salon and hoping it isnt all weekdays as this could prove difficult!) and also realised I still have 3 films to claim from blockbusters (from when the chocolate packs were giving them out in the summer - gives u an idea of how much chocolate I can eat! ) so printed one of them out too!
And got a swim thing with a bottle of water so have kept that and will look into nearest pool that will accept them!

Feel properly done-in and knackered tonite - like hit-by-a-bus tired and a bit achey and sore throat so dosing myself up with vit c and an early night as cannot do with being poorly!

hope everyone has had a good weekend
