Thanks Radish (and hope you had a good nite out!
) and Sepa
I think its given me a real boost to see things going in the right direction even if the steps Ive been taking feel pretty small at times...
shows they really do all add up!
NSD today too!0 -
Hello TYO that is a brilliant pay off this year, WELL DONE YOU. The long haul thing is a bit of a difficulty isn't it? I get very down sometimes because I have spent money rather than paid off the mortgage, it's nuts we need to live a little as well as be MFWers. On the other hand I do want to be below £150k that is my big push like the one you are doing for £120k.
Lovely to be back and spring seems to be here, woo hoo.0 -
Thanks toots- yep its definitely the long haul thats the difficulty at times but then reviewing the progress can make a real difference
good luck with your sub-50K push! Seem to remember you have done the MF before tho? so you know you can do it!
Well....am dragging myself through this week - just feel really tired and well in need of a holiday (in a few weeks am counting the sleeps!!)
NSDs most of this week as have been manicly busy , same today but am planning on lying in on the weekend and a cheap couple of days out with friends...
Moneysaving wise need to check out new ISAs for this year -never had any real money in one to bother before Ill be honest! Also need to book MOT
Then we can just focus on the next big push which will be the "house fund"! :rotfl:worked out I should be able to save about £1000 a month to this plus mrtyo OPing his mortgage (he is getting better than me at all this!)
Good things coming up in the next few weeks which could change things significantly for the better ...
Right better get going , gonna be a long day at work methinks with everything to do! still it pays the mortgage I suppose!0 -
I have turned my BF into an OP monster (I'm not really complaining) but he got in a right huffy when he realised his ISA is on a rubbish interest rate
Yes the day/night out was good, and after not drinking for 3 months it was a very cheap night outMortgage Aug 12 £165K, Aug 19 £0

Fantastic news on the mortgage balance, well done you :j! *dreams wistfully of reaching £120k*
(Won't selling the flat will technically make you MF, if only for a little bit? *considers selling house and living in a ditch, just to be MF*)
Glad to hear OH is on the MFW bandwagon too, mine seems also to have had the penny drop and is slightly scaring even me with his enthusiasm for the whole thing :rotfl:!
Work opportunity sounds intriguing, hope it all comes together for you.Mortgage [STRIKE]16/03/2011: £190K 01/01/2017: £107,729.65 [/STRIKE] 01/07/2017: £95,979.89
OPs 2011-2016 = £45K 2017 OPs = £9250.200 -
Afternoon all!
Radish- good that the OHs are well and truly on board now! :rotfl: sounds like a good night out!!
mw
thanks- my next big push is seeing how quick I can get under 120K it may take a while as balance will go up when the bathroom is paid for! Once we get a house it will go up up up!
hope you are doing better now with the migraines and the new meds are working...
yes am hoping the opportunitieswork out!
Well this week to be MF I have
had a free haircut with a voucher from the freebies board!
packed lunches and dinners using up leftovers..
watching a lovefilm dvd under free trial - think there is an amazon voucher on the way as it is no longer in my tcb account!
opened new high interest ISA for savings-transfered old ISA over which was paying virtually no interest!
picked up a couple of books from the library instead of buying them- 50p reservation charge!
holiday fund has some money in it and will add by end of may when tcb £30 comes through..
£9.63 cheque to pay in for old phone!
tesco clubcards vouchers on thier way !
no other moneysaving I can think of at the moment! Once MOT and big bills out of the way in the next month I will do another SOA to look at the OPs...
glad its Friday and the sun is out! yay!0
