I have voiced my opinion on this particular subject several times in the past, however I would like to express it again regarding the Real People competitions that are now posted in one thread here.Have decided to set out the Real People comps like the puzzler/take a break threads, easy starting as its a new year and starts with issue 1! Also thought the rules/how to enter and any common questions etc can be put into the first post:D Any problems and I can revert back to the old way (though prob best to PM me or discuss in the Discussion thread rather than bumping post needlessly:D)
Please note this is my personal opinion and I know other people will have different opinions. I do not like more than one competition to be posted in one thread. I would prefer if each new competition got its own new thread. My reasons for this being:
- I go through the board by end date (or occasionally when they are first posted). I enter, press 'thanks' and 'entered', and don't have to find that thread again or look at it. If more than one competition is posted in one thread I will have to remember to go back to it at some point. The 'entered' button will be rendered useless. I will no doubt forget to go back to that thread and will miss out on competitions.
- I know the Puzzler and TAB ones are posted in one thread but I often find that I miss out on many competitions on this thread. I have both bookmarked and try to look at them when I remember but have usually missed quite a lot. This is a problem with just two threads being posted in this way. It would be even more of a nightmare if there were additional threads I had to remember to keep track of.
I loved the way this competition was posted separately as a new thread each week and would love to see it being posted that way again. Just my personal opinion though.
I will also take this opportunity to say thanks to hjb123 who makes the effort to post the competitions and provide the answers.0 -

I completely agree with everything you've said! And I'd also like to thank hjb123 for posting the competition and answers each time! :T
I don't actually use the Puzzler or Puzzle Magazines threads anymore as I was struggling to keep up, and can never find the time to go through and work out a point up to where I can say I've done all the open ones so I know where to start following from, it's very confusing as all the end dates seem to be all over the place!
Posting things seperately means it should work for both people that enter by end date and people that enter as they're posted, as both sets of people would catch the competition at some point, whether straight away or close to ending, posting in one thread means it probably would work for people that enter as they're posted (providing they either subscribe to the thread or use the boards in last post format instead of thread start time format) but for people that enter by end date, it means changing the way they enter for the ones that are posted in this way as from the title, you can't see the end date for each one individually, I don't think people should be effectively forced to change the way they enter to ensure they don't miss competitions. I don't blame you hjb123 for starting to post the competitions in this way though, as it is hard to meet everyones needs and you're only doing what you thought people wanted!0 -
Just wondering if anyone who won on the Beyblade Metal Fusion instant win text competition back in November has every received them or even a confirmation letter? I have emailed the Daily Mirror twice (no reply). I have phoned 3 times (the 3rd being today) with promises of a reponse - but so far nothing!!!! Sooo frustrating:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0
