Whats on Tv are linked on the Regulars Daily thread, so you can enter every day, but pick and choose, as its only a max of 20 of their comps each day. I hate the tickboxes so don't bother with them.

Lots more comps around to do :)
My light may be on, but that doesn't always mean I am looking at the PC - I am far more likely to be cuddling or feeding Tianna atm, so please don't think I am ignoring you if I don't reply quickly :)

Our Precious Baby Tianna has now joined our Family, she is much loved and very welcome, xxx

Thank you. I had just found this on the site, tick boxes are annoying me too, but don't go on there that often - certainly not daily. They sent me email so ventured back on!

There are so many Comps that get posted, I get a bit overwhelmed with which ones to go for!! Maybe i'll get lucky one day!!

POLL WARNING – The poll is HERE

The question really means “Do you want this guideline implemented?” – please vote accordingly.

If you think posting a monthly comp as an individual comp (for the current month only) is the best idea – VOTE NO

If you don’t want existing comps that are posted individually each month moving to regulars – VOTE NO

If you think regulars sub-forum should contain only those comps that have no new Question/Answer/Link/Prize each time – VOTE NO

AGAIN its also about dailies and weeklies, and the use of ongoing threads :)

should all dailies be posted new each day? should all weeklies be? should all monthlies be?

can we live with updated ongoing threads? on main if there is a promo end date, on regs if not?

theres not a lot of comps that dont have a new question, or prize or answer. as ive said befopre there 100plus threads among dailies and weeklies that would then need posting every day/week :)

One-Eye I agree with you 100% that this isn't ideal. I think Glad is/was just trying to find a middle ground without weeks more arguing/polls.

    Equally you could say:

If you want a simple rule that is the same whether a comp is daily, weekly or monthly - VOTE YES

If you are capable of taking a click to the regulars stickies for ongoing comps - VOTE YES

If you're fed up and just want this sorted as fast as possible rather than dragging on for weeks/months - VOTE YES

(and purely based on monthlies, as that is what One-Eye is arguing about: )
If you comp by end date and don't want an extra 300+ comps to enter at the end of the month and would rather get some of them out of the way when you do your monthlies - VOTE YES

If you like the monthly sticky and would rather it was used properly so no comps get forgotten instead of relying on someone posting the 300+ monthly comps onto main each month - VOTE YES

I have no objection to losing the monthly sticky if someone can come up with a definite catch all for everything on it. But anything I've proposed (make a list to check, or split them up between volunteers) has gone without comment. People want things their way without considering the implications....300 extra comps a month is a lot to post onto main without some sort of system, and is a heck of a lot extra for end date compers to have to do in one go....

I think we all get your point ;)

I truly don't care where comps live, if I have to skim over 90% of the ones that end on the last day of the month that's my problem for having a life and a job aswell as a hobby.

But please could you answer my main concern about things being done how you want. How we make sure we catch ALL the monthlies on the monthly sticky if monthlies are no longer regulars. As my suggestions for that have been ignored so obviously won't work and I won't be the only one who misses out if half of them don't get posted to main and are no longer on a sticky.....

ok so lets use andreas latest suggestion , do away with regs, do away with reg stickies and pout everything on main, including dailies every day :D

lets keep things simple, and have one rule for all regs.

so absolutely every single comp, including postals, tab and puzzler comps as new posts every single time they are release/require entry? instead..is that preferable?

The Waitrose comp is not strictly a weekly which is why I have never posted it in Regulars. I think it falls into the category of 'irregular' that Glad mentions in the OP of the polling thread - it runs from a Thursday to the following Tuesday - if it was not posted on the main board anyone who does their 'Weeklies' on a Wednesday would miss out.
