Unsure if anybody as posted about this but if you have downloaded the update for Firefox (4.0), at the moment Roboform doesn't work with it.
    Google's autoFill does work.
When a new Roboform update comes available I'll let you know.

I've got Firefox 4 and Roboform to play nicely together but it takes a bit of effort. If you just upgrade Firefox it will tell you that the Roboform extension is not compatible but there is a compatible one you just have to update the whole thing for it to work:
1 - Remove the existing Roboform extension from Firefox
2 - Download the latest full version of Roboform from here: http://www.roboform.com/platforms/browsers/firefox
    3 - Close Firefox
4 - Uninstall your existing Roboform program from Add/Remove Programs - ensure you leave the tickbox to remove your data unticked
5 - Install the new version of Roboform you downloaded earlier
6 - that should be it although you may want to tweak Roboform's settings to get it the way you like it

If you try and update Roboform or install the new version without unistalling the old one and its extension it will fail.

    Hope it works for you!

Did you have to buy the new version of Roboform ?

I have just reverted back to Firefox 3.6 after finding Roboform did not work in Firefox 4 unless you bought the new version of Roboform.

  • Is it worth making this a sticky for the next couple of weeks, just to stop bumping and let everyone know?

An alternative is Autofill forms - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/autofill-forms/
It has a few little quirks and the learning curve can be slightly steep if you want it to do the really fancy things, but in general it's absolutely great. It can save an individual set of details for each from, so you can get it to tick the right marketing boxes and just leave you to type in the captcha. I use it all the time.
  • Roboform is well worth the purchase, especially to us compers. I haven't got Firefox 4 yet, thank you for the warning.

This will get moved to discussions I'm afraid but while it's here:

I'm puzzled, I have the full version of Robo Version 6.10.2 and have been using it quite happily with FF 4.0 RC since Monday when I switched over. No tweaks needed at all.

Incidently for all those that have been suffering from the memory leak in FF 3 when you have lots of tabs open, FF 4 has fixed this, it's fab!!
That ain't working! That's the way to do it, money for nothing and TV's for free ;)

No and it shouldn't have been on the main board
