PCL, I just added 2 daily FB comps to daily's thread as well, asking if anyone had time to check and post them.

Really think we could benefit from a FB & Twitter thread stickie.

Is that not illegal? I fhtey are adverising prizes / sending out emails to people saying they have won prizes that don't exist then surelt the ASA would have something to say about it!

That is illegal and immoral! So out of order they deserve an overhaul by the Trading Standards with good fat fine at the end of the tail!I hope they get reported!

Sounds to me like someone has coc*ed up and this is their way of getting around it.

it takes me hours each day to go through all these comps and enter them, mind you i dont usually enter the dvd ones very often. so i dread to think how long it takes the regulars to add the comps and then enter them and everyone elses. anyway a big thank you to all who post. i have tried to post some but when searching have found they have already been added to the lists. they are added so quick. just wondering how everyone finds out about all the comps? obviously i realise that there are certain people who post from different magazines regularly. still trying to get into a system of entering! heres to the comping fairy visiting me soon and everyone else!!!

I agree with you Mamzie a sticky for facebook & twitter would be a good idea. No-one needs to organize the comps, as they go too quickly, but to be able to put a link quickly would be great. By the time you manage to post one of these comps, they've finished. I'm usually pleased with myself when I manage to enter them, let alone post them as well.

Perhaps someone can tell me re twitter what is #FF all about? and what are you supposed to do - just seems to be lists of names - how does that work.

Im new to twitter but i think it means funky friday or something like that. there are loads of comps on twitter on a friday but they dont have a long running time. have to have my blackberry with me all friday whereever i am to try and enter the comps. won 2 comps with twitter in the last 2 weeks, nothing exciting so i have not posted on the winning section. - 2 spa days in cardiff (which i have offered to a fellow MSER who lives in Cardiff) and a book. still waiting for the biggie win!

I've emailed IPC re the problem with the WOTV, Nuts, Look etc comp where the 'sell your story' option comes up and you are unable to choose 'none of these' and still enter the competition.

I've told them I don't have a story to sell and don't want to get nuisence phone calls.

Have tried a selection of the WOTV etc comps and this 'sell your story' promotion keeps coming up.

Will post when I hear back.

It's Follow Friday xx People put a list of the names they reccomend you should follow x

Well they may not have got back to you, but I've managed to enter them all fine this morning, so someone's obviously taken note :A
