  • I got a phone call yesterday to say i had won a cruise and to press 2 to continue. I hung up as i did not believe it was genuine but as I am new to comping, I am doubting myself as I am unaware of the scams out there and i have entered a cruise comp recently. Surely its not genuine though right???
  • Hmmmmm. My advice is to never give out details!! I always think about who i give my details to and the answer on the phone to any cold caller is that I dont give out details without researching the company first.

I doubt this is genuine, as any genuine company would have email and a website or failing that a phone number you can call them on.

Id never give out bank details to a company unless you are 100% sure of what you are signing up to. Even genuine companies can get to agreeing to a continuous payment from your bank (which is not the same as a direct debit and cant be cancelled) so beware!! take your time, if the company is genuine it wont mind u waiting to research it first.x
Logic will get you from A to B but imagination can take you anywhere!
Being honest may not get get you a lot of friends - but it will get you the right ones.
Let your past make you better, not bitter.

Don't worry it won't have been genuine.

The Competition club looks as though it could be useful for Twitter comps.
  • FYI Re Facebook comps.....just thought this might be of interest: the do's and don't of FB inc rules about competitions - it's aimed at those running FB pages, but talks about dual profiles etc...
