  • I save £1k each month to buy and apartment to live. I feel it is very much difficult for me to save such little amount after my all monthly expenditures. I have to pay rent of my rooms, electricity bills, insurance, and many more expenses like this.

    Late March update!!

March was very expensive for me (for several reasons), so I'm declaring -£238 for the month, which makes my year to date total £248 and my overall total £85,087.

I've been stuck around £85,000 for several months now, and feeling a bit despondent as I've had so many expenses lately. I sometimes wonder if I'll even make it to £90,000 by the end of the year! But let's be positive :o

Also, I've seen a house that I love (and could comfortably afford), but it's close to being sale agreed :/

    My April update!

I saved £904 in April, which brings my year to date total to £1,152 and my overall total to £85,991. I'm going soooo slowly this year, but I'm hoping for more progress in the next few months!

Well done everyone, keep up the good work :)

Thanks so much, tinkerbel! I'm soooo close to £86K, only £9 under :rotfl: Yes, I do have fun too, hence not saving much since the start of this year :o but I save as much as I can too. It's all about balance!

    How are you getting on?

    Well done!!
My last post (Nov 2014) I said I had £58k. Now 5 months later that's £65k. However, I've car insurance and an expensive holiday to pay soon. So knock that down to £62k. I expect to have ~£70-71k by end of year. I'm putting money into P2P lending sites now.
Still don't know whether this money will be used for a home or as longer-term savings if I emigrate.
I'd love to beat you to the £100k mark, tara lol..!! But there seems to be a constant drag on my money.

Haven't posted here for ages but I've now crept over the £23,000 mark and am making slow progress towards the £25,000 goal. I'm hoping to get there before the end of the year.

    May update from me!

I saved an amazing £2,692 this month (although £1,200 of that was ISA interest!). Absolutely thrilled with myself, after a slow start to the year :D

Total saved in 2015 to date: £3,844. Total saved overall: £88,683.

I'm so close to £90,000 now!
