Hope it gets sorted soon danni! With big companies, threaten them with bad publicity and say you will go and ask Martin to diss them until they sort it. Usually works :)

I know i made sure that letter was sent the next day, so i got it sorted asap, i have been so stressed for over 2 weeks, now to be told they never got the letter.

the bank guy who i first reported it said just say the highlighted transactions are unknown to you and highlight the transactions.

I am worried they think am just sending a letter now not worrying about my money, so i made it clear on the letter today a letter was sent the follow day after reporting the card.

Am hating this am 21 and can't buy basic things in life right now, we ran out of mouth wash and my teeth don't feel clean without mouthwash lol, my mum said she was going to the shops i was like em get mouthwash.

i mean i was never a big spender, but since coming to this forum helped me save alot more, so i only bought more things i really need.

I know sometimes i have asked people to come meet, and they are like i have no money till pay day, i used to be like how can you have no money, most of my friends still live at home so its not like they pay a morgage bills, but yea now i know how it feels to have no money.

I never normally read leaflets but am reading the one i got with the new card, it says

    protection against fraud loss

just bla bla bla they will phone you if they suspect something strange.

they never contacted me, i mean surely that much going in so little time is strange.

    then below says

don't worry, if you are the victim of fraud we will work to reimburse any losses, provided you let us know straightaway and you've taken reasonable precautions with your debit card.

You gave your details out online so your bank might try to shift the blame. Fight it though like mad!

If the banks allow online transactions then they must accept we will input our details, so I don;t see how they can use this card.

danni, I don't suppose you remember if there was a padlock on the site?
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

That is a very good point, theres so many online places now where you enter your card details.

I don't think it did, i have never really paid attention, i guess you don't until you have fraud happen to you. I never really paid attention till someone mentioned after it happened saying its safe if theres a padlock on the site.

and hostie, no i did what a few people on here said, phone up and ask whats happening, they claim they never got the letter/statements they asked for, yet i made sure they were sent in next day post so it was done asap.

then was told to re write a letter and send the statements, and ask the bank to fax it which i did, then a few hours later phone the fraud and asked if they got it this time, they answer saying it will be at the bottom of the pile so phone back in a few days
