aww danni don't worry! I know its easy to say that but maybe give the bank another ring and they should be able to give you an update? I feel really sorry for you that this has happened and they didn't give you your money back straight away
Is the overdraft free at least?
no the overdraft is not free, well i hope i will get the charges back
thats what i don't like about banks, when i had money in my bank i constantly got letters advertising loans/credit cards, like congratulations you have qualified for a loan of, honestly i got them at LEAST 3 TIMES A WEEK.
since i have no money in my account now i am constantly getting letters warning me my overdraft ends at the end of the month so i need to start making payments.0 -
oh and thing is if i phone up, and ask for an update, they might say but we said a month.
I always thought they said a month to cover themselves to make sure they got it done on times, i mean i know i still have another 2 weeks but i just feel so sick i can't do anything with no money, i just working and sleeping.
and my job only pays £800 a month, and gave up alot of my time doing overtime so took along time to save.0 -
Danni, i know they have told you a month but ive read on other threads where peoples money have gone missing and they rang the bank like every day or at least every few days to push them to get things sorted. If it were me i would keep at them until it gets resolved for my own peace of mind. Hope you get it back soon x0

thanks, thing is they said it would have been a few days but because i had been on the site it would take longer, but never imagined this long. Thats the only thing thats kept me going i keep saying i'll hear anytime soon.
I even wanted it sorted asap, i remeber phoning on the 30th, and the fraud department person was so chilled out like just take out £2000 overdraft and carry on spend, and write a letter saying you fear someone has got your account and highlight the transactions, i quickly done that, that night and posted it on the 31st.
I can't even go out spending money as i don't want a too big overdraft, so its just working and sleeping.0 -

Well Done to all those who treated their self's, It don't matter if it's clothes or PC's
, I think it's a good idea to have a treat every now and then, saying that ... I've not treated myself for a long time ... though I may buy my self something big a bit more expensive when I finish my college course in July!

Its BOGOF at Dominos tonight. Unfortuantely, due to the fact I have put on weight over the last year. I have had most of both (I ate the medium and half the large). And potato wedges. Doh.0

Pester them, pester them, and pester them again. A month is not acceptable. Phone them for updates twice a day. If you make a nuisance of yourself they'll have more incentive to help you. Also, the more you phone up, the more people you'll speak to, and the more likely you'll get to speak to one of the gems of the banking world. My credit cards have been used fraudulently in the past (I'm unlucky, three times on three different cards), and sometimes you get people who just tell you to wait to see if the transactions clear, or to see if any of them get rejected at a later stage.. and it goes on forever, or you get those that take action and really help you sort it out, and get your money back. Yes, it's a real hassle calling them, but it's the only way to get a result.Target Cash Net Worth: £25K by January 2012
