I put a freezer bag into my measuring jug and over the sides, to open it up (think big bag in bin) and then spoon in what what ever I'm freezing, then tie up the bag and stuff it in the freezer when they have cooled down, I get some very oddly shaped meals out. Just wondering if this would save you waiting for it to freeze in the boxes first

I tend to freeze things in bags in boxes too -means I can pack the nice square food blocks in to old icecream tubs with basic cooking instructions on the lid (for the benefit of the pet boy, or he'd just eat takeaways when I'm at work).
It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

Well I hope the cashier hasn't moved to M&S as I had 1p on mine :rotfl:. Decided to save it for a rainy day :)

I had a few screwcap containers so have lined with bags and am waiting on the soup to freeze. I've got a ham hock in pressure cooker at the mo so will make minestrone soup with the stock :)

I managed a, b and c with the jeans so all good :)

    Tomato Lentil & Bacon Soup

7oz lean bacon - chop the fat off & cut into bite size pieces
    1 onion, chopped
    2 crushed garlic cloves
1tsp grated ginger (I use a bit more, chopped rather than grated as I like the odd little bit in the soup)
    2 sticks celery, chopped
1 large potato, peeled & diced
1 large carrot, peeled & diced
32fl oz water & 1 veg stock cube
1tbsp mild curry powder (this gives a little kick, so use more if you prefer. I use 1tbsp of medium)
    4.5oz red lentils
    1 tin chopped toms
    2-3 tbsp chopped coriander

Stir fry bacon in non-stick pan for a few minutes then add onion, garlic, ginger, celery, potato & carrot & fry for a few minutes - you may need a few sprays of Fry Light.

Bung in slow cooker & add other ingredients except coriander. I use boiling stock so it only takes around 3 hours.

    Add coriander & serve.

After an hour or so sit downwind of everyone else ;)

Well, actually it's "to get off the sofa or not get off the sofa, that is the question"

I would say paint (sorry) but only because you will feel so much better with it all out the way

Do you have a roller extension, just wondering if you can do it from the comfort of the sofa

Size 12 jeans - wow! Must feel great!

Like the sound of your soup, but I don't have a slow cooker - lots of recipes on I see on here involve using one (and although i know you could make it without seems so much easier with one as you can just leave it alone rather than a pan on the hob that you need to watch). Hmmmm, these recipes are making me want to spend!!! Maybe I should ask for one for my birthday - although that makes me feel really old!!

I agree with Radish - you will feel really happy tonight if you paint today...........
