Hijack away
Have just finished a Jeffery Deaver and now about to get into another. You lot just carry on but no alcohol please as Michelle is watching . Would love a cuppa though if the kettle is on. Just leave it on the sidetable and retreat without breathing in my germs
I am always watching. (Not really got anything better to be doing. :rotfl:)0 -

Just read through your diary, good luck with your 2011 goals and I hope you feel better soon.
I had to go have a look at the top 200 books and can manage 50, bit embarrassed about the 12 I have started and never finished though, and I can't remember if I have read some of the kids books. Good excuse to read them again I suppose:o
I am currently reading the second Stig Larrson book and it is very good, have read The Snowman too, good but not as good as Millennium trilogy IMO.

That's why I hardly ever watch films. The exception was Silence of the Lambs which I thought was as good as the book.

Now I know this is not on the same wave length of your reading, however I adored the book PS I Love You, the film...it was big girls pantaroonies! I had visualised all the characters and the ones in the film were not half as good looking! Joking apart the book made me cry as did the film, but for completely different reasons.
Sorry you're still feeling pants GG, if it makes you feel better I'm carp too..however the Baileys is helping;)

TPA I read all sorts, nothing like a bit of chick lit from time to time! When I read PS I Love You I think I started crying on page 2 :rotfl:. Though in my defence Mr GG was stuck with nothing to read & he cried too.
Speaking of Mr GG, he told me last night he doesn't like being called Mr GG, he prefers OH.
So, anyway, Mr GG (:rotfl:) lurks on here & is still chuffed that Twinklie thinks he's cute, though I told him it was the exchange of posts she thought was cute. So, I need to watch my P's & Q's :A.
OK, Sat round up:
- have been off work all week, though actually worked all day yesterday, still not feeling great
- I can taste again
- though not the leek & pot soup I've just made which I've decided is too bland & thin so currently rectifying it with some seasoning & boiling some pots to mash into it
- have had a few NSD's, but these are counteracted by the amount I've spent on drugs
- no wine this week, a few whiskies at the start for medicinal reasons and a G&T last night for dieting reasons. Went to pub with OH, am sure it was a double, it tasted really strong, but lush
- sticking to no wine till I go to Gambia :A
- speaking of which, 10 sleeps
- had to cancel 2 appointments with nurse for jags & malaria tablets, can't go till next Friday so will have to get tablets from chemist rather than online pharmacy
- meal plan done for next week, stuck to it this week
- v small shopping list written, have had to chuck out a load of salad stuff from fridge, not eaten as I was ill so meal plan consisted of comfort food
- I owe gas man £30 with more to come probably as heating at BTL playing up
- also need to sort out roof on another bTL
- that tenant has told me HB received, will be paying me once cheque clears
- been looking at current account. Have had ostrich like tendencies for past week due to knowing what was coming. Jan fine, but CCards bill at end of Jan is...... em........ high........ due to buying Mr GG 1/2 a laptop, and the cheap table for hall which cost £500 with the other stuff I bought. Slightly mitigated by being at home due to snow before Xmas, and off this week, so £100 petrol saved. Will need to borrow £500 from own BTL savings account then live frugally (which I should be doing anyway) and pay it back
- new regular saver has gone out, this is an account I am classing as an offset account as it is money towards clearing the mortgage. So, with that having gone out our balance on mortgage is: £18,948.95
Will finish on that high note, off to mash some spuds :rotfl:A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0
