Happy belated birthday - glad you had a good time at the paralympics, I'm there Sunday and Monday and really looking forward to it!

If I only had 88 sleeps left til end of mortgage I don't think I'd sleep at all with the excitement!

Well done GG that is some accounting but 87 sleeps left is nothing. It will go so quickly. My PC won't turn on so I have not got access to most of my account at the moment. Feel really weird and might have to set it all up on the IPad. Glad you like the Playbook as you said perfect for travelling in particular for Skype not sure if yours can do that my Blackberry phone can't.

I didn't mention it earlier (too traumatised :o) but a terrible thing happened at the Paralympics on Thurs night - I lost Torchy :(. Was v upset :(. However, lovely DS tracked me one down and appeared with it Friday night, and yesterday morning a package arrived - DD had bought me one off ebay :). So now I have 2 to take Thurs night. Plus 2 flags. Wenlock and baby bro Mandeville. I'm going to need a bigger bag :rotfl:.

Decorating. Don't like colour. Too dark. Tough. :o.

  • I hope you are making a PhotoBook/scrapbook of all your memories. It has been amazing so far.

Am more concerned about what to do with all the [STRIKE]tat [/STRIKE]memorabilia come next week :rotfl:.

Will be glad when the Paralympics are over. Absolutely cream crackered - every time I sit down, or even walk past the TV, there's another flipping medal to be cheered :D. Long soak in the bath tonight became a quick bath became a shower became a have a shower in the morning :). Great viewing tonight :T.

    Things I have learnt today:
    • I am cr*p at painting edges (ok, knew this already :o)
    • When scrubbing paint off the floor, stop before your knuckles go through the scrubber .
    • There is a wrong word in the sentence 'I won't bother covering the bath and tiles, the paint will come off easily' :o
    • I still had paint in the bath from last time I decorated :o
    • And on the downstairs cistern from a few paints ago :rotfl:
    • There is a little leak from the cistern .
    • Removing bath seal is very satisfying and the solvent thingy smells lovely :D
    • I have had a NSD :T
    • I have eaten tomorrow's lunch :o
    • The £30 Roman Blind I bought on spec a few days ago can be altered to fit both the bathroom and the toilet :D. Just :o
    • I will probably be glossing next Sat morning before I go on holiday :rotfl:.

I completely agree about the solvent, my landlord sent his handy man round the other day to sort the small leak from my bath. The whole upstairs smells like the solvent - and my bathroom is cleaner now than when the handyman arrived (for which I am a little ashamed).
It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.
