Been MIA for a few weeks, oops
.
So, the exciting news is we are having a new kitchen :T. Currently marked out in newspaper on the floor :rotfl:. Am very pleased with what[STRIKE] I[/STRIKE] we have chosen - white and very plain, with grey, white & granite worktop. Currently choosing tiles. Am not allowed the lovely splashback with aqua, red and lime green birds. Probably just as well as I think I'd go off it pretty quickly :rotfl:. Am probably going to have very plain white tiles with a slight texture, laid in a herringbone pattern, like THIS. I really liked some Porcelanosa floor tiles at €80 a metre - we need 20m . Then I found some cheaper (relatively.....) at €48m. Semi-settled on some at €12m. Then went to a builders yard near us and found this
at €12m (looks like this in brown when laid) :T. Nice man let us bring one home - I am looking at as we speak and it has built in dirt marks and scratches so ideal really :rotfl:.
The really scary thing is we are having it done, including building work, while we are out of the country . So, my micro-managing tendencies will just have to get over themselves :rotfl:.

Seen as how I'm so late for belated birthday wishes.
Happy Birthday for next year
Nice tiles, but very scary, leaving the builders to it  :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Always have 00.00 at the end of your mortgage and one day it will all be 0's :dance:MF[STRIKE] March 2030[/STRIKE] Yes that does say 2030  Mortgage Free 21.12.18 _party_Now a Part Timer from 27.10.190 -
Yes, very brave.... But what could go wrong? Seriously, I am sure it will be fine and you won't have the hassle of living amongst it.Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D0 -

Good luck with the kitchen. It will be lovely when it's all done (that's what they keep telling me!)
