I particularly like the bit about why you shouldn't give your kids money ;)

Busy weekend - all day watching the footie yesterday. I'm forever blowing HSbubbles.gif:j:j:j:j:j, then Chelsea last night, so good day :). DD home so shopping & visit to see great niece this morning and christening this afternoon. Not much money saving done, but 3 payments to btl mortgage - ebay, DD's payment from Fri then another yesterday morning, 10.6k os :D.

Busy week ahead, but only 3 days in office then 2 the next till holiday :D. 10 more sleeps blissysmile.gif.

Hoping for some sun before I go, have a good week all.

    GG :D

    Morning all :)

Sun has got his hat on and I'm working from home so washing about to be hung out :)

Dinner and cinema with mate last night - subtitled Cinema Paradiso, v good :T but home late. With the start of a cold :(.

Which has continued apace overnight. Doesn't it know I'm going on holiday next week .

This may be a very long day. Have been watching the Rutland osprey on her nest - they reckon an egg may hatch today. She looks very restless and keeps nudging them, but also looks to me as if she's had a go at dislodging part of the nest so she can bury one which is what they do when an egg has failed :(. Or maybe she's just got a twig sticking up her bum :D. Will have it running on own PC while I'm working, but will be using PC for work also so no doubt will miss the action . Updates later, hopefully will be a HSchick.gif to report but suspect it won't be that cute :D.

Speaking a fellow mse'er later - wonder if they'll do the ironing while they talk to me :rotfl:.

Fully intending to sit in the garden at lunchtime - cue rain, sorry folks ;)

    gg :)

  • We are not having rain today - banned, forbidden - I am washing the winter coats - kiss of death, bound to rain now :rotfl:

Sorry to hear you have a cold starting, what you need is a lovely holiday in the sun :).

    Best wishes Tilly

No HSchick.gifyet, but parent is obviously expecting something as they are building up sides of nest a little :).

Yes, not as much as they were but still only in a few sites. I went out to see them last year and was very lucky as it was just before the chicks fledged. They were 'helicoptering'*which is when they flutter a foot or so directly above the nest and you could see them clearly even with the naked eye.

Still no chick. I've told it to wait till Fri when I am working from home again but no doubt it will hatch when I am in the office tomorrow :(.
