Ceiling - one coat and edged (obviously needs touched up again now as I'm a bit careless
)
Walls - edges one coat and walls two coats. About (once DS surfaces) to do edges and then 3rd coat.
Gloss - later today
New curtain rail - will put up before I gloss.
Curtains, new quilt set, cheap pics and throw from Primarni (had to walk round town with big bag, oh the shame :rotfl:) - ready and waiting.
Scrubbing brush to get paint out of carpet- ditto.
So will be finished today, apart from last two which won't take long, leaving tomorrow free. Forecast - rain. Still planning on doing today though as there is plenty other stuff to do in the house
.
May need to rethink my monthly spends spreadsheet. Am recording all spending in relevant categores - clothes, diesel etc, regardless of whether cash or CCard. Plan then is transfer back spends each month to clear ccard and pay-back current account for cash spends, but v complicated to work out, especially as I am running at a deficit and had to pinch money from own btl column plus still owe current account. Am sure will settle down next month.

We too have money flying out at a rate of knots

:eek: Naughty Mr Green :eek:. Lost 3lbs :j, which is actually 2lbs over 2 weeks as put on 1lb last week. 3 weigh-ins till holiday, need to lose 5lbs to get back in target range. So, 2lbs, 1`.5lbs & 1.5lbs.
Bed time I think. Only a 4 day week though, but in the office 3 of those
. Electric blanket on. Turned heating UP today, never mind ON. As my old gran would have said - 'ne'er cast a clout till May is out'. Chance would be a fine thing - currently I have 3 pairs of socks and a pair of slippers on and feet are still cold .

I often have internal deficits due to expenses at work. Very frustrating! I may take a leaf out of your book and sit down with our finances and check out what we are spending. I'm good with all the normal bills but anything that goes on the credit cards, well I couldn't tell you how much we spent each month on groceries for example, probably in the region of £100 but quite possibly more than that. Thanks for the gee up Gallygirl!0

lol! Food budgets are an easy place for money to disappear... I try and keep ours at around the £450 mark, but that's hard to do (and I have a morbid fear of empty cupboards and freezers...)
Mr Green was naughty - and the chips weren't even that niceHe's away tonight, though, so I shall be good and use up all the wilty veg in a huge SW friendly stir fry
And as to internal deficits caused by expenses......... grrr! Mr Green is awful at claiming - has been known to claim a year's worth! He currently has claimed nothing from 1st Feb, but has a new uber efficient PA, so hopefully she will be on the case for him and get him up to date!I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £200 -
"checks to see who's looking
"
I don't have a food budget - once I've paid all the DD's, regular OP's and £600 into savings for all the credit card bills - diesel, clothes, meals out etc, I have around £125 a week left,. That is for food, alcohol, toiletries, cleaning stuff, cleaner, SW, coffee if I go to London etc.A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

My food budget, for one, is £130 pm but often I really struggle to stick to it.....it covers groceries, household cleaning and loo roll. When I hear other people on the forums it seems that they are doing it for less. Ok, so it probably costs less per head in larger households (economies of scale and all that) but even so, I don't know how others do it! I have seperate budgets for Social and Toiletries LOL....that probably sounds really 'selfish' to people running family households0

£2.69 ebay off btl - no change to end date
Oh, and tax rebate as well - 8 months off :j. Now 10,832 - missed the 11's altogether so that's a cell colouring opportunity lost :rotfl:.
Still on course for November :T. At the moment it looks like I may be able to make inroads to next mortgage in Nov (well, start putting in savings account to unofficially offset it). However, I need a few things done to garden here, plus need to stock up bank account in Spain so may have to do that 1 month. Would still mean Nov, but no left over money for #2 target (which will be around 35.3k then, and has a little column on spreadsheet ready and waiting to calculate net balance).
