Fantastic news on the tenants, how lovely :)
2023: the year I get to buy a car
  • Excellent that the plan is coming together so well. And it is down to all of your good planning and care that Mr GG has the confidence to be able to chuck the ME job rather than having to stick it out for the financial rewards.
Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D

    How many boxes left?
Still two - pictures, may tackle them today. Mr GG's suitcase that I brought back from our break also emptied and clothes ironed and hung up :A.

Nothing to do with that SSS, it's just that he's missing me :rotfl:.

Hi GG - very late to the party, but just wanted to say "congratulations," on your retirement. Having read yours and your namesake (Goldie G), retirement is busier then your previous life, and you seem to be making the most of it! I bet you're totally chuffed that Mr G is returning to retirement it will be exactly what you've been planning.

I just wondered how long have you actually been planning this stage of your life? My DH's work have a "retirement course," and I use this term loosely, a year or eighteen months before the event. I think this is way too late. I would think that these things take about five years to plan?

Enjoy the sun and sangria, please keep posting.

    Thanks :)

Well the aim was set 8 years ago when we got this as a holiday home - I decided straight away I wanted to be here permanently. Really the last 5 years, when I got a promotion with large pay rise, have been the most focused. The retirement course does seem a bit too late!
