I can see why it is a bit emotional but you have so much excitement to look forward to. Brilliant. You must be exhausted.
Have a rest and a swig of that dodgy wine,
Squirrel xPaid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D0 -
Oh Gally! How amazing ... you definitely need a nice lie-down, and a nice glass of wine (or two). Congratulations!2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Had a little lie down but then chap came to pick up table & chairs - free as had seen better days and wasn't expensive to start with (bought as a stopgap about 8 years ago :rotfl:). Poor soul has just moved into a HA flat with girlfriend and baby, and they have nothing. She has just been admitted to psychiatric unit with severe post-natal depression
. Told him if he can get van at end of week he can have washing machine & fridge freezer. Nice young chap, bowed down by the pressure on him, he's had to give up work as gf couldn't be left alone

Oh my word. Our first world pension issues don't really come close to that, do they ... good for you for extending your hand.
You weren't having your lie-down on the table and chairs, were you?2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

That's a good point - I've only lived in three houses in my entire life.
With my mum and dad for 21 years, then in our first house for 8 years, then here for 26 years.
GG, well done on completing your list, that's a major achievmentEarly retired - 18th December 2014
