Nice heatingengineer/plumberwhoknowswhatheisdoing has been for a look and gone to get flexible connectors :T.

Bed is sold :T. Not looking forward to dismantling it though, loads of screws holding slats down .

As for the election - am I the only person in the UK who didn't know Boris Johnson was standing :o. Also, this is the first time ever I've voted for a party based purely on what was best for me rather than what was right for the country. Feeling wracked with guilt - even though I'd probably have voted for them anyway :o.

  • Glad to hear plumber has been. Your story of the other bloke made me laugh - what a nightmare. Glad watergate is under control.

I missed that Boris was standing as well.

    Good luck with bed dismantling.

 That turned into a right saga for you  Thank the gods of the domestic hearth for nice men from the waterboard :p

 I don't have anything to hold my slats down on my beds, she said, in a small voice

    :p

You're not, Gally - Tilly didn't, and I didn't either :D Which is odd, seeing as he's such a self publicist ... he's positioning for the future, obvs.

Is the bed being despatched on the day you leave? Where are you going to sleep? Enquiring minds want to know :D

Staying with kind friend tonight, who is also supplying dinner :T. I however am supplying the wine (some with bubbles MWC :D) - keeping it cold with no fridge is interesting . Staying with DS tomorrow night.

House almost emptied, young chap picked his stuff up and :smileyheatumble drier with internal light :smileyheaand lawnmower sold to a chap who's just lost his wife and having to give up work to look after his 11 year old daughter as he does shifts at present :(
