Well, accounts have been a bit less boring :D. £20 from expenses paid, plus around £90 ebay (in 3 different payments, so 3 OP's :T) and £340 from DD. All off own BTL, 2 months knocked off :j. Silly really, getting excited about date going from Nov 18 to Sept 18 when I intend to pay off this year, but it shows progress which is great :).

A couple more ebay payments coming but not enough to knock another month off :(

Spent 3.5 hours this morning doing banking, accounts, insurances etc . BTL insurance done for own btl, can get £10 for taking a piccy of their sticker in my car and putting it on their fb site. Hopefully £15 quidco, plus £25 for me & Mr GG when I introduce him - and we have another policy due in late April so hopefully that will work. Own house insurance done with 2 quidco paying searches. £123 for building & contents, and hopefully £60 cashback :T. No meercat though :(. Money paid off own btl, had just finished accounts when DD phoned to say she'd paid me £55, so logged back on and paid that off, and that tipped it over another month :T. Own bank account is  but within overdraft, however as from next month am paying into monthly savings for all regular bills and there will only be £3 spare so it may take a while to clear :rotfl:. Will rely on small amounts here & there.

Forgot that protection for hire car insurance probably needs doing, so need to follow that up :o. On line check in open for flights, this time next I will be sitting HERE, feeding the sparrows, listening to the little frogs, oh, and stuffing my face :rotfl:. Has become our 1st port of call on holiday - used to be the 'last lunch' but we were too miserable to enjoy :(

 last workman still hasn't sent me invoice so don't really know what I owe him, have estimated £975

Nice workman, £300 less than expected :T. All bills paid for btl, just a cheque for £80 to write and drop off. Will be an element of robbing Peter to pay Paul for the rest of year but hopefully will be ok by end of year :o.

Clever DS :). 2 interviews last week, one a second. Offered both jobs :T, turned down the one which would have given him 9 1st class Virgin flights a year :mad::(. Taking a job which is just about commutable so am being

regarding the likelihood of him wanting a house deposit any time soon :o.

Washing outside :T

Not dressed yet so freezer raided for lunch. 9p sausage ragu sauce with pasta will do nicely thank you :). May cook some black pudding to add on top & convince Mr GG I made the sauce as well ;);).

Having spent all that time on decluttering paperwork, off to declutter myself with epilator :).

What a lovely week and weekend :T. Not moneysaving though, had one of those things other people have................. think it's called a social life . Slimming World Monday, that's around £10 by the time I buy the cereal bars. Weds dinner out then The Artist. Around £40 (there is a bar actually in the cinema :o). Thursday Rock Choir, no cost on the night. Fri night out with Rock Choir for dinner, only £11. Sat pm out with Mr GG, called his bluff and bought the wine and he didn't give me the money back :rotfl:, another £11. Today train, drinks, lunch & taxi. Been part of a flash mob with Rock Choir, very good fun 18.gif18.gif18.gif. So, all that has not helped with the overdraft .

Dear Mr Dalton,
Your statement on Morrisons’ website includes ‘we’ve invested heavily in training to support our people and give our customers an even better shopping experience.’ I am sorry to say I saw no experience of this tonight whilst attempting to shop in your xx store.
I approached the tills at 18.59 with a large basket of shopping. It was immediately apparent I was in for a considerable wait as only six tills were open and customers were starting to queue down the aisles. The exception to this was the self- service queue which was already down the aisle. The supervisor looked on unconcerned.
When no further tills were opened I asked for the manager. When he arrived I had been queuing for 13 minutes and there were still four people in front of me. I asked him if this was acceptable and he replied no, but there was nothing he could do. Various reasons were then given:
• All available trained staff were already on the tills (I saw at least four staff members stacking shelves but was told they needed to do this so that customers could continue shopping.)
• The good weather had caught them out (weather forecasts are widely available and I would have thought played a part in planning rotas.)
• Staff were going home because their shifts had finished and no overtime was allowed and, best of all,
• An extra staff discount offer in store meant there was an influx of staff shopping from other branches (It is not often I am speechless, but words fail me at this excuse. To be told I have to queue because your own staff are shopping with discounts is insensitive/ unbelievable/ unacceptable/ naive/ crass, any or all of the above.)
I found the manager’s blas! attitude extremely arrogant, particularly when saying staff with extra discounts ‘were shoppers too’. Having now queued for 18 minutes, I chose to leave empty handed.
To quote Damian Reece of the Daily Telegraph today:
‘Morrisons is virtually unrecognisable from the grocery chain of Sir Ken Morrison.’
Sadly, I have to conclude he is correct. The old-fashioned good customer service is being ignored whilst efforts are put into a ‘multichannel multi format’ business. Can I suggest you don’t take your eye of the ball while doing so? Until I am convinced, I will not be returning to your xx store.
:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
