Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

Thanks all :D. Another year older and none the wiser ;). Had a few days more or less away from MSE and also had 2 whole days off work which was great :T. But a bit manic now I'm back :(.

So, while I've not been on.....

    Payday :D

:dance::dance:do the money shuffle, yeah, yeah :dance::dance:

Done. Bored now. 22 days till payday, but bank account thinks it's due next week

Balance now down to 37.2k :T.

More bricks coloured in on excel house. House filled in, onto roof now, one brick filled in :j .

In other exciting news - a few months ago we started to buy premium bonds to save for tax etc. In the draw for second month and won £25 :). Was very exciting to get the email :j.

Hope all well. Friday tomorrow :T.

  • Very well done on the win! Does it represent a good rate of interest for instant access?

Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D

Don't really know how to work it out. It was 2.08% on the month but 1.3% over the 2 months. We'll see how much we win over the year. Hoping for the 1 million which will be around fandabidozi %. Approximately :D.
