I know GG, Mrs E got paid on Monday, we've shuffled and now I'm on the trough of the money shuffle wave. Considering withdrawing a fiver a day from MB winnings to keep that 'new money' high :rotfl:

Hope I am not too late to enter into spreadsheet gate; but I must ask GG "what on earth will you do, when you pay off your mortgage(s) and you are in receipt of your pension?" From your posts I think you might be heading South and to the sun....have you considered how you will cope without the daily/weekly/monthly input of all your formulae! Maybe you should consider setting up a SSG - spreadsheet support group. or SA spreadsheet anonymous.;)

Just as an aside; what is your exit plan? Or should that be when is your exit plan?

The general plan is naff off to the sun. Specifically, pay off all mortgages (or have savings equivalent), rent out own house, with income from BTL's have plenty to live on. Timescale - asap but other things need to fall into place. Possibly around 2 years.

Well the good news is that, having cut out a lot of old sheets from main mortgage spreadsheet, I seem to have fixed its 'saving violation' so haven't had to call on Lois to help ;). (To be honest, she never sorted out the bug in it which meant it wouldn't show me owing zero so I don't have much faith in her abilities :rotfl:). Upside, apart from having to rename it every time I saved it, is that it's much faster. Downside is I've deleted a lot of history - but I did save a copy so can go back and refer.

My Santa log in with FD banking is going haywire. I've tried logging in separately but am inputting wrong data. Hope automatic log in sorts itself out or I'll have to reregister and wait till all that arrives . Luckily the money shuffle is done :T but I'm expecting some money in. I suppose I can go to a cash machine and get a mini-statement .

Need to go on choo-choo but may leave iRene at home and carry on reading Smarter Investing - seems more urgent now I get to access my pension pot thanks to :kisses3: Mr Osborne :kisses3: (yuk).

    Friday :T.

Are your SS in Excel GG? I'm giving some thought to selling our current laptop and purchasing a Chromebook (keeping SS in the cloud). Not very familiar with Google SS tho, and afraid to lose functionality!

On the other hand, if we had a Chromebook, our 'study' would become a spare room.

I like the idea of google files in the cloud but I recently had to edit someone's work and the formatting was a total nightmare!!!!

I also had to wrestle my managing director's terrrrrible g-doc spreadies and make normal looking files so that my team don't hunt me down with pitchforks!!!

I even had to go buy Office for a mac when I bought a MacBook for events just so it felt the same!!!

I agree with Hurdler Ed, I have tried different systems but they're not the same. How big is your laptop if it needs its own room .
