V lucky, only need around £120 to knock a month off :j.

Ok - question for you all - would you say anything if you were shortchanged 3p? I went into Poundstretcher to get some little bits & pieces for a charity shoebox Xmas thing at work. Bought some things, including a book reduced to 1/2 price from £1.29. I wasn't given it 1/2 price so went back in - assistant gave me 62p & I said it should 65p. She said 'for goodness sake, it's only 3p' to which I replied 'yes, and it might as well be in my pocket' so she reopened the till and gave me it with a scowl. Would you have bothered?

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

DS says I should have said 'if 3p is worthless I'll have an extra 3p then :D'.

TBH I think it was the fact she thought 9 divided by 2 was 2 that annoyed me more than anything

Payoff from savings plan arrived, 3.5k. straight off btl mortgage, 22 months knocked off, a fraction under 6 years in total knocked off since last Sept :j. Realised yesterday that annual mortgage statement is due & got ridiculously excited - dk why as I know what it will say :rotfl:.

Have got 2 sets of tickets for paralympics - swimming & athletics :D. We have a good chance of 'medalling' (hate that word!) in both sessions & Oscar thingy metal legs guy should also be running. V chuffed :T.

However, that means they need to be paid for......in the past 6 weeks I have booked loads of flights & bought joint pressies on 3 different credit cards, some flights are me & Mr GG, some are with friend (who has already paid). All 3 bills come out in a 2 week period from 2 different bank accounts, with various amounts of personal & joint spends. What a mess! I think I have sorted out what I need to do, but need to think carefully about order of transfers etc (have 1k in & out of Halifax to factor in as well!) otherwise the offset will be overdrawn & don't think that is allowed :o.

Sorted out other finances yesterday, wrote letters, sent cheque to Spain to pay for painting of nice shiny apartment :), made changes to will etc. Today I need to phone airline for Jan hol to see if I can book extra leg room seats (oh no, another ccard transaction!) and phone Jessops as new camera has dreaded white screen of death :(. Really annoyed as have ebay listings to do :(

Ebay brought in around £56 :T, but one person has still to pay as waiting on new bank card. I have withdrawn +£30 and will lift the rest once that is apid, plus a top ending tonight, selling at 99p (6th listing, was on its way to charity shop ).

Cleaner on holiday , but £48 being paid to mortgage instead :T (I need to actually make payment. Have put in spreadsheet and as it didn't knock month off have lost interest in it :o).

What an attitude that girl had! Surely it was also in her best interest for her till to balance? I imagine she probable threw the 3p at you aswell.

There was a 1p sitting on the side & I was dying to say 'you won't mind if I take that then' but didn't have the nerve :)

    :oOops :o. Hello all .

Been a manic few weeks so have been missing in action. Quick update:
    • Payday today :j. Includes around £850 bonus :T. Which is already spent on car insurance etc :o.
    • OP of £229.20 sent to NW to pay off BTL. Will knock 2 months off :j, but can't pay at the mo as my internet is down (am on work dongle) and don't have NW details on this lappy
    • Finances all v complicated at present. 3 different ccards due for payment in next 2 weeks, from 2 different current a/c's, all with some of my spends and some joint/house spends. Has hurt my brain trying to sort it all out, but think it is done :)..... apart from -
    • [STRIKE]Any idea what the £167.56 is on my current a/c spreadsheet? No, neither do I[/STRIKE] :o. Oh, scrap that, personal spends on 'house' ccard which I had already accounted for .
    • Have paid around £100 off BTL before today, but it didn't knock any time off :(, however with the payment above I have now knocked over 6 years off it in 15 months :T
Main other news is Mr GG's mum had a bad fall last weekend (bad cut to head, 11 stitches, so wide you could see skull :eek:_pale_). Poor old dear is nearly 88 but still in good form, well, still feisty I suppose I mean ;). Still in hospital, and Mr GG stayed up here will Weds am instead of Sun pm, cue cartwheels round the car park when I dropped him off at the station Weds :rotfl:. Nothing seems to be happening with regards to getting her home, will see what today brings :).

    Happy Friday everyone _party_
