Happy new year Gally and all the best with both the rough and the smooth.
Squirrel xPaid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D0 -
Time the sticky mark from a label on new radiator in loo has annoyed me - approx 18months.
Time to go into garage, get WD40, spray & rub off and return to garage - less than the time it took to boil the kettle:T:rotfl:.
So - what have you been putting off folks.
In other news - leccy and gas readings submitted, will start switch when I get back from holiday. Oh, did I not mention it?

a penny picker upper. MFW approx 78% to go | FIRE 3 years worth (30% savings rate: now aiming for 40%!) | Normality is a paved road; it's comfortable to walk, but no flowers grow on it | Whatever you're meant to do, do it now. Oh dear, a bit manic at work . Still, one more day :T. (Or still one more day
depending on my mood when I wake up in the morning
)
Seems to have been a slow start to the year but I've chalked up over £90 so far in Tilly Tidies, quidco, coupons and Peefer Pig etc :T.
Need to spend time reading about HL's changes to funds and see how it will affect my pension pot, also Mr GG's ISA
. So, that's my chick lit reading for the holiday then :rotfl:.
Case not packed (obviously, not leaving for 36 hours) but I have got stuff ready. Need to take quite a lot as weather forecast not great
:eek:. Still, at least I can use my new roll-up vacuum bags :T.
Tenant who wants to buy btl almost ready to apply for mortgage - hopefully this will be :T and not. Even if they are turned down, at least they have some savings behind them now and may be able to get a slightly cheaper house
. And I can then stop my daily Right Move updates
. There are a few houses I'd view if we were ready but #1 choice is sold
Off to update new house spreadsheet and go to bed. 2 more sleeps :T.A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Happy New Year GG!
I'm back after a 5 month leave of absence. Looking forward to catching up with you all again.
Well done on coming back to SW and buying the CD12 - it did indeed save you £20 and creates the commitment to stick at it too.
I rejoined again and did the same - lost 3.5lb this morning on first weigh in.
How's life been treating you?

GG, just rushing through, but here's a link to the updated Broker Comparison Table on Monevator.
There's also a lively debate going on about rates in general and the post-RDR landscape (apparently not a maths joke)0 -
Thanks Ed, did try to use a comparison thing last night but it didn't have all funds on it and I still don't know what HL will charge - plus some of the discussions go over my head .
