I'm having same issue with DDs today but mortgage hasn't gone out either, it's funny being impatient waiting for my money to vanish:D just like to know it's all sorted.
    Mortgage OP 2025 £6250/7000
    Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

    Mortgage balance: £36,210

    Money making challenge £38/400

    So.

    House is a mess.
If I tidy that then no time to do back garden.
If I do back garden then no time to do front garden.
If I do front garden then no time to sort out washing which there is no point in doing anyway until I've put way the rest of the clean washing.
If I do laundry there is no time to take car to get cleaned and it's filthy.
If I take car to get cleaned then no time to menu plan and shop and cook.
If I menu plan, shop and cook then no time to see sick relative.
If I see sick relative then no time to talk to btl tenants and solve issues.
If I do sort out btls then no time to talk to friends and family and make arrangements to see them that I then have to cancel as I'm too busy. So I will die all alone, surrounded by newspapers .
If I do talk to them then no time to do banking.
If I do banking then no time to come on here.
If I come on here then no time to have a bath.
If I have no time to have a bath then I need to have a shower in the morning, in the shower that doesn't drain properly as I have no time to fix it.
If I fix the shower I have no time to sort out the paperwork in the study, meaning the paper gremlins take over.
If I sort out the paper gremlins I don't have time to keep myself 'trimmed' meaning I resemble a gremlin also :o.
If I keep myself 'trimmed' then the place becomes a mess.
    Repeat ad infinitum.

    Sound familiar to anyone?
    Brilliant :T:T:T

I was hoping for helpful suggestions really :rotfl:.

    Forgot one:

If I xxx I have no time to meal plan so spend too much money and Tilly will not be my friend any more :(.

DS is moving out next weekend (:j:j:j:beer::j:j:j) so that will give me no excuses to not get stuff sorted. Am actually considering freezer sorting and meal planning the following weekend and taking a day off work to do some batch cooking etc the following week . Menu planning will be easy, won't use cookbooks, will just trawl the diaries for inspiration :rotfl:.

Just gone on mysupermarket to check out bargains - will do a mini-meal plan till next weekend. Fresh Brussels on offer in Mr T :T. Nom nom nom :).

All this is part of my cunning plan to lose weight so I can fit into my clothes and not buy new ones :(. Back to fat club tonight .

Have a good day all :)

    GG X

Slimm!ng W@rld recipes are featuring frequently in our menu plan. I don't think DS realised it was a diet book :rotfl:

Yummy gammon steaks courtesy of SW tonight :T.

Decided my finances are too simple . Need to maximise Tesco points (now I know I can use on Monarch :j) whilst still getting £5 Halifax Reward. So:
    - all Tesco spends on CCard
    - spend £300 on Halifax card each month (shouldn't be difficult and have a cunning plan if necessary.......)
    - all other CCard spends then on Tesco
    - grocery shopping etc on Tesco
    - new savings account opened (1.5%, go me :rotfl:). Will move all normal monthly spends on Tesco immediately from bank account to here, ready for bill
    - enjoy the free holidays :D
    - reap the benefits of the interest. Probably around £3 a year. Woah baby :rotfl:.

Of course, I need a new spreadsheet :T.

My utility room is clean and tidy with all clean undies etc in basket ready to put away and ironing all folded (ready to take to cleaner :o).

Will let you draw your own conclusions about everywhere else :rotfl:.

Sometimes you just have to prioritise and clean undies would win for me too:D

    84p Tilly Tidy :T

    -£350 for DS mattress :(

-£44 for new bedding I saw yesterday and have tracked down and ordered (didn't have my size in store). I blame MWC for having a funky, colourful house and making mine seem boring* ;).

-£59.99 for new digital pressure cooker :o

So, mortgage will be paid off in no time :rotfl:

(*oh no, hope I like it, should have gone for the nice safe beige one :o)
