Hello Mr GG  You are welcome any time (well, you are as far as the rest of us are concerned - we can't speak for how GG will feel about it).
It's great that you're grateful for being fortunate. :A
Now enjoy the sun. Somehow I feel better about the miserable coldness that is my town knowing that somebody somewhere has got sunshine. It makes it seem possible that maybe one day we might get some here.

Evening Mr GG, you'll need to put an order in for your own iRene

Glad to hear your vacation is going well. The world is so small with the help of these devices.
I do believe the world has gone mad and the fact that no 'team' is in place long enough to clear up their mess is frustrating.
We are living through real history which will be studied by the economists of the future, oh to know what their hindsight solutions would be.

Don't encourage him

Well, as Mr GG hinted at, I've won an HTC phone, hopefully that will make a decent dent in the iRene debt :T
Things I am grateful for today:
Feels noticeably warmer this morning, terrace blankie will shortly be discarded
About to cook some nice stuff to eat tonight :T
IRene
Sparrows are roosting in the tree opposite and I can hear them squabbling :rotfl:
The fact I am healthy enough for the 12 mile walk  we have planned for today (taking in a procession and a nice meal
) (though Mr GG planning on watching from a bar as he is suffering from procession overload
) A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Well done GG on your win! and Hello to MrGG too!

Wowsers on the 12 mile walk but enjoy!!
I agree , there is lots to be grateful for - not least that we are in a position enough where we have choices over money - saving, OPing etc.. rare than merely "surviving" if that . I do need to remind myself of that sometimes! ...
Happy holidays - not at all jealous - its positively tropical here you know!

Well Mr GG will be getting his wish as we haven't left the terrace yet
.
Dishes prepared for later :T. Em, habas y Serrano (broad beans and Serrano ham) appears to have turned into haba y Serrano due to the amount of quality control carried out

Love your diary - had great fun reading it over the past few days - I think you have done a great job. I love the idea about reading the books on the BBC list. Will be adding that to my challenge as I have decided to cut TV out for the rest of the year :eek::eek:

Hee hee.... just caught up with your diary GG. Had lots of chuckles as i sit in my sickbed, full of flueyness and dreaming I was on a terrace, eating seranno ham in the sunshine. I love the hiijacking of your diary by Mr GG too. Won't let my OH near mine as he would corrupt everyone with his 3 unruly disorganised freezers and impulse buying
Enjoy the rest of your holiday. When are you back?0
