Hi Gally, de-lurking partly to say all this talk of walking is making me feel the need for a sunday afternoon snooze. And mostly to just stop lurking and take the plunge in saying hi. Have read yours, Tilly's and Nattypants diaries for a while now and they are all very inspiring (as are lots of others too) so thanks for the kick up the rear I needed to get focusing on op'ing the mortgage. have a good Sunday all.

I know I speak for the others as well when I say that posting regularly really helps you stay motivated. Off to stalk your diary :D.

BTW - having a comping day as feeling a little under the weather. So don't bother entering any that end on 25th Feb* folks, they're all mine :D.

    * Apart from the Justin Bieber tickets. Feel free on that one ;).

Yes, I totally agree with this-I started my diary earlier this month and have been much more motivated and achieved much more than I did before I had a diary. :D
Thanks to gallygirl, Tilly, jwil and others :j:j:j

Look at the bottom right hand corner of each post, and you will see a row of buttons.

The first is "Thanks". If you click this, it will add you to the list of "the following x users say Thank you to <poster>" under the post, and increase the person's thanks count by 1 (in the stats under their name).

The second is "quote". Click this if you want to quote just that one message in your reply. Quoting will go wrong, though, if you delete all or part of the bits at the beginning and end of your reply: [Q UOTE=<username and ref number>] at the beginning and [/Q UOTE] at the end (without the spaces between the Q and U, of course - I put those in to stop it turning it into a quote!!).

The next button has a picture of two speech bubbles and means "multiquote". Click this and you will see a tick. If you do this to one or two posts, and then quote another one, you will get all 2 (or 3) quoted in your reply. It won't multiquote more than 3 at a time, though, so if you want to do that you'll have to do some cutting and pasting.

The next one is "quick reply" which, err, does a quick reply. Then there's "report" which is for reporting posts that break the rules, and finally there's "spam" for reporting spam posts.

    Hope that helps. :)

    Fab, thanks Lois.
  • Afternoon all :) Been lurking a wee while on your diary GG and thought it's about time I made my mark in it :) Can't say I've read from the beginning yet cos its a lot of pages, but I hope to.

Oooohhh walking! OH and I love walking. Don't do nearly enough of it what with each having a house to keep going, full time work etc but when we get our boots on it's great. We're lucky to have some gorgeous walks and countryside nearby and it's free :)
Recently discovered the joy of food flasks. Sandwiches don't cut the mustard when you go on a long wintry walk. Soup or homemade chilli in the food flasks hits the spot :)
Ok, will stop rambling now....**wanders off in the direction of walking websites**

Feeling v guilty at inspiring everyone to go walking when I have no intentions of getting off my butt while it's cold :rotfl:.

Almost had a NSD but Natty made me buy a mag subscription :(. But the Molton Brown goodies will be sold for more than the £6 sub :T.

Ebay sales finished. £20.62 raised with a small payment to come :). Relisted non-sellers and a load of other stuff. 2 bids already and a few watchers :T. All low value but better off in my pocket :). 1 item being kept for autumn (heavy skirt) and 1 more going to charity shop.

Pot of lentil soup made - but no containers shrug.gif, need to raid the cupboard at work and see if I have left them there. Did find one in freezer with a different soup in it so that will be part of tomorrow's lunch :T.

Have a good week all. I have one of those colds where you feel ok till you do anything complicated, like stand up, so should be fun :rotfl:.

    GG :).
