I can really relate to this GG. when I was learning German at University this confused me a great deal. Especially as the elementary German at school was taught the same way as English - no mention of participles etc.. just this is the right way to do it!

New boots bought to replace old ones that died in service, €19.90 in sale :T.
Living room & dining room curtains now hung and look lovely, very, very pleased and bargainous to boot :T. A different 'man who does' is coming tomorrow to hang brackets for wall heaters in bedrooms and hang mirrors & pics. Just in time as friend arriving Sunday and two MSE'ers next weekend .
Apartment let next month for at least a month :T. Nice friend passed our details on.
Planning on having a joint housewarming and birthday party for Mr GG (who says he's never had a birthday party :eek::() at end of March so bright ideas welcome.
