Oh my god .... how much have I been shooting myself in the foot? Well, not too badly this time, because it only started yesterday, but ......
Um sorry but I thought I should mention it

Oh Dragon, of course you should! I'm completely grateful to you! If I'm shooting myself in the foot, I'd much rather know than not, because then I can change my behaviour. Sorry, itnever occurred to me you'd think I was sniping at you - I was just shocked, thats all.
Thank you again for letting me know - its a valuable piece ofinformation to be out here.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Actually KC I thought that echinacea was something that you shouldn't take all the time but then I also thought that you probably know more about these things than me ! xNothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task. William James0

I've heard that too, Ellidee - I've been taking it at the mo because I've only this last ten days or so recovered from the last bout - I thought I was still building up again
I guess these last few years have been more stressful than I realised, thats the only reason I can think of why this keeps happening now

Thanks Ellidee
I saw that herbalist I ended up not liking (she had a thing about Liverpool being a port on the slave trade - huh?) I just need to concentrate on good food, sleep, NHS help for the rheumatism, a *little bit* (not too much!) of a social life ... I'll get some Floradix instead of the echinacea ... 2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Um Liverpool (and Bristol) were ports that dealt in slavery but what has that got to do with herbalism? :think:Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

A very good question! They were the ports that sent goods out to Africa in exchange for slaves, who were shipped off immediately mostly to the West Indies ... she was thinking of karmic debt ... I have huge doses of classic white liberal guilt, but I absolutely dislike what she was implying. Plus, you know, the conditions of the English working class in Liverpool and Manchester were bad enough for Marx and Engels to write about - I was saying elsewhere that my nan didn't get an indoor toilet till the 1980s - I hardly think our family grew fat on the slave trade profits - I know they didn't, in fact, because I've looked at several branches of my family history...
I see I've slipped a little off the point
nothing to do with herbalism

KC - my parents grew up in Liverpool but their parents didn't - people had to go where the work was didn't they ? Doesn't mean they condone the slave trade ! Where's the confused smiley when you need it ?Nothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task. William James0
