Um Liverpool (and Bristol) were ports that dealt in slavery but what has that got to do with herbalism?

Any dwelling under the roman empire dealt with slavery. So that's every single place from the Scottish Borders down over.

A very good question! They were the ports that sent goods out to Africa in exchange for slaves, who were shipped off immediately mostly to the West Indies ... she was thinking of karmic debt ...

Love the dress KC (and this is from someone that doesn't do black!) and I think you can dress it up with bling or add some colour with a shrug/cardi/shoes/bag/pashmina - and if you have different combinations /colours you could make it look different each time. That makes it a real MSE outfit IMHO :D

Would look great with Aqua, Turquiose, Tangerine, Red, Green or Yellow. Can you tell I am a girl that loves a bit of colour :rotfl:

  • KC Have you had another email from the census people I have had another holding one saying I should hear in 2 to 3 weeks considering the job is supposed to start in mid march and there is online training and a training day to attend before that they are certainly pushing it :( I can't help thinking that they are hoping in my case that more welsh speakers will apply as I notice there are jobs advertised now with a closing date of 7th Feb

So sorry to hear you're poorly again KC - hopefully this will just be one of those annoying colds and not anything more lurgy-like.

This is the first post, and my first ever communication, on the new laptop! I had a little tears-of-pleasure moment after the computer bloke went (even though he charged me an arm and several legs) - when I'm well, I'll be able to shift furniture into the right rooms now, because I'm not limping along with a makedo computer spot. I never used my 2nd bedroom/potential office at the old place, so although this house is smaller, I'm actually using more rooms :j It really feels like I can get up and running now.

Thanks EH - I think it is an annoying cold - and hopefully, because I'm starting from a higher baseline, it won't even be like the one over Christmas and New Year, that knocked me out completely for two weeks, and lingered for another.

The computer bloke logged in to my hotmail account last night while I was standing by to access a security code, and I saw the email, but I haven't accessed it yet.... off to check my emails now - I just had to come on here first and celebrate :rotfl:

I just hopped onto the account to check - still assessing interview results. They take their own sweet time! With this 3rd lurgy, I may decide to turn down any post I *do* get, actually :(
