Hello you! Hope you're well, and the brain cells have returned - they do tend to go walkies, don't they :) mine certainly do - just this morning, they ran to the kettle and completely ignored me while I tried to find some self assessment gubbins ...

I've been thinking about this diary - I started this incarnation at the beginning of January 2011 - and you know what, I think I'll close it at the end of this month - rounds it nicely, erm, to 13 months :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I'll still pop on here from time to time, but finally, finally, mse and dfw aren't the focus that they were. This forum, the people on here, have sort of saved my life, in a way, and now it *has* been saved, I'm off to play in the world, as t'were - when the RNLI save people from drowning, after all, they don't expect the people to camp outside the boatshed for the rest of their lives.

Carrying on the metaphor (and oh, how I like to carry on :j) I'll be rattling a tin for the RNLI / supporting others however I can - just not doing a diary.

So, thank you, thank you, thank you, from the bottom of my heart - I'm keeping this active till 31 January, as I say, so there are further posts on here - just wanted to do it in the right way.

This smiley actually says "Thanks, thats brilliant" when you hover over it: :T:T:T:T and thats how I feel.

Thanks Maty, sorry about the inbox! Got it, and responded xxx

Today is carrying on (again, good grief :p) where tomorrow left off. Self assessment, that is - I'm sure I'll get it done by the deadline now. I even have a little list of things to do, 7 of them, and one has been done (erm, that was "find the lost credit card statements" :rotfl: - they could have been anywhere, but in fact they were just filed in this tax year, not the one before - not too bad).

I also have 2.5 hours paid work, and one extra thing - I'm *finally* using laptop + wireless router in the way they were intended - wandering about the house with them; in the last two days, I've been connected to the net at my desk, at an armchair in the living room, and right now I'm in the kitchen :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Its very  for me, anyway :rotfl:

    Thank you all! **waves madly**

Shaun - still connected on f/b, and both of us connected with DT ... I'd love to meet up in the flesh, meet your littley; did you bring the cat over from West Liverpool?

Turfy - its kind of true, isn't it - but you know, at the same time as the old timers like me :eek::eek: are going, there's loads of newcomers! Its still really needed

At the moment, however, I'm doing possibly the most mse/dfw thing I've ever done, which is do my own tax return (yes, I'm *still* talking about it)... and for those who say, its simple, yes, but mine isn't! Its that French apartment ... I can put it under "foreign", and then claim a larger proportion of tax rebate, or I can put it under UK property, and not so much. Maybe. At the moment, my figures don't appear anything like my accountant's were last year, to the tune of £800 or so - their bill was £500, and *maybe* currency fluctuations have taken care of the rest ... not sure. Off to do more investigating, tho not much more tonight.
