Hope you enjoyed your walk and that your feet aren't too painful x0

Hope you had a lovely walk, definitely invest in proper shoes or trainers though; with the right foot wear I can walk miles ... the boots I wear for my marches are very ugly brown biker style zip ups, but so comfortable I can walk for ever in them
.
Well done on Le Mortgage Francais :T0 -

Excellent news on here.
Xmas puds (gluten free awesome), DVDs and garlic sprouting.
All brilliant here so chuffed.
Sorry not been round much, womble induction and settling in eaten into my free time. But, I know, you know that.
Nipped over as had a bit time to catch up properly.
Youch to thin soles though, have a good un.
Thank you for helping keeping my patch cosy whilst I've been on the womble mother ship.

Morning! Yes, the walkies was lovely, thank you, nice and brisk, as well as a little bit of work in the garden earlier. I'm trying to get things fairly well advanced in all sorts of areas before my op in mid-Feb, but thats not the main reason - I have more energy, and its so lovely to make a place work the way I want it to work, as a pleasant base to go out from, that people are welcome to come back to.
Two hours of difficult work today, all over lunchtime, off to the post office to playand then catching up on more paperwork - January is always a very heavy paperwork month for me - two sets of accounts, reaccreditation for work, and insurance

Aw, thank you both! Those trainers look really nice Elli, ta muchly! I have weird feet, tho, very wide, slightly larger than usual, and ankle bones that stick out a *long* way - weird, basically, like I say :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: it basically means I can't buy trainers or shoes from the web2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Plus, and I suspected something like this would happen - the gluten free Christmas puddings are mega-reduced! They were £3, I bought one at £2, and now they're 35p. I bought six
:o:o
Christmas goodies seem to be still floating around - we bought a 'Christmas Cake' kit from Wa!trose last week for £2 and yesterday two packs of brandy sauce for 50p each from M&S. Will do nicely for our Valentine's treat in a few weeks & was a bargain. Also found some posh xmas chocs for 79p which we scoffed down in a couple of days - they were yum but would never have paid full price for them!
Today's Sunday roast will be two red sticker poussins that were also a post xmas bargain biding their time in the freezer. Around £1 for each of them so with some roasty veg & potatoes will do nicely for 'tea' as OH calls it!

RT4 YEARS 10 MONTHS DEBT FREE!!! (24 OCT 2016)(With heartfelt thanks to those who have gone before us & their indubitable generosity.)...and now I have a mortgage! (23 AUG 2021)New projection - 14 YEARS 10 MONTHS LEFT OF 20 YEARS (reduced by 15 mths)Psst...I may have started a diary!0 -
Thats excellent, RT! Well done you
I popped in on Saturday, and some were still there, but I didn't get any - I was off trainer shopping, and then too tired to pick them up on the way back. Gives me an excuse to pop over there today, actually
And of course its "tea":D:D
The trainers were a success, tho almost not :rotfl: I only tried a few pairs on, but found a North Face pair, reduced from £94.50 to £50 :eek::eek: I've never paid that much for something for my feet in all my lifebut they were really worth it - my feet went all warm and comfy when I put them on :j. I also found a pink lumberjack-check blouse in my fave charity shop with sparkly bits on
, very me.
More houseandgarden-arranging has been going on - slate chips are slowly getting cleaned and put down on the membrane. I'll have to do a bit every day, and it will take *ages*, but its going to look gorgeous.
My sister popped over yesterday, and gave me the ex-contents of her wardrobe that she's decluttered - some I'll pass on to the local charity shop, business type trousers that aren't my style, some is too big for me, but some are great, either very "me" or "me with a stretch" :j2023: the year I get to buy a car0
