Morning! I was practically hoarse by the end of the day .... and very tired. And hungry! Still, all is comparatively well, and its sunny with cirrus clouds, and no wind! Spoke briefly to my sister yesterday, and checked out with her about soil - I know that sounds odd :rotfl: but some of the stuff I'm digging out from the patio border could actually qualify as soil, so although I'm still putting it in plastic bags, I'll put *more* of it in each bag (as I don't have to carry it while pretending it doesn't weigh anything :rotfl:) and as I sort of have a long weekend coming up (basically, I have no paid work Friday or Monday) then I could get a long way towards getting it done. Not that I can spend too much energy-I-don't-have on it :naughty: but it would be nice to complete a project and have it all look nice.

Today, either 1 or 2 hours paid work, I'm not sure yet, plus hangovers from stuff I've listed and haven't even *tried* to do. Oops.

    :hello: Morning

Its okay, I'm not pushing :) I had one hour paid work in the end yesterday, and I went to Sainsbo afterwards - *slightly* annoyed with myself that I forgot to take my nectar voucher for 140 free points if I spent over £30, as I intended to do, but such is life.

I never even got round to unpacking the shopping, its still sitting there :o tho while the pasta was on, I did get out into the garden and hack back some ivy - I have to do that regularly because otherwise it would end up blocking the passage to the garden

when I next see the neighbour on that side, I'm definitely having a chat about losing the whole thing. If he doesn't want to, I'll be much less caring about the dratted plant - anything on my side of the fence will *go*.

Today, still no paid work (and I'm pleased about that). So, the list today:
    - input meter reading I made yesterday.
    - erm, unpack the shopping!
    - go to the bank, put takings in.
    - w/m on, d/w too.
    - bit of scanning.

In spare moments (okay, when I was finishing my coffee :rotfl:) I'm doing an "ideal year" kind of thing, in my next year's diary, on the year planner bit. I've put family and friends birthdays in there, and now I'm researching the dates for stuff next year, its a bit eclectic but its quite fun. So far I have:
    Knitting and Stitching Show
    Edinburgh Festival
    Southampton Boat Show
    Yorkshire Genealogy Show
    The Olympics
    South of England Agricultural Show
    Comic Con, San Diego
    Dragon Con, Atlanta.
    Southport Flower Show

The "ideal year" type of thing sounds good. I know that I need to get all my dates and things sorted too. Actually, I can probably already buy the 2012 inserts for my filofax, so perhaps that is a job for the next couple of weeks for me!

Yep, I use a big A4 diary, and I don't usually buy them this early, but I have a particular layout I like, and this one had it, for £2, so away we went :) its amazing how quickly you need it once you *need* it.

  • What a great idea! Good year to do it as well, with the Olympics in there. Have you been to the Edinburgh Festival before?

 Nope, never been to Edinburgh Festival; a very arty friend in London used to go every year, and I really *like* Edinburgh, it'd be great to combine the two.

Big festival thingies really suit me :D I like my own space, and at these things, its a case of being able to be lost in the crowd, so to speak :D and 99% of what I'm listing is stuff I'm deeply interested in - nothing there with deep science in yet, tho **ponders** - tho some of it is stuff I'd be interested in for the "show" of it, like the Tour de France (it came through Sussex one year, and it was very exciting :j)

Pippi - hope it goes well with the polytunnel, I'll be hacking back more ivy at some stage, I think, so I can get at least one binbag full.

I like the sound of the diary, might look into that myself, but will probably end up putting more figures in there for DFD!!:rotfl:
Next year is my big 50 so hopefully we'll be in a position to do something nice.
The festival sounds fun and you'll so enjoy that.:T
