Tell you another impressive something-or-other: I just made fruit chutney! Foraged plums, apples, and a stray pear, plus an onion and some *very* old rice wine vinegar
we'll see how it turns out
Well and truly impressed KC! - tell me, was an actual 'recipe'??? - if not I'm more than impressed!Isn't the concept of indoor foraging fantastic! Much better than "storecupboard" :T:T:T
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:indoor foraging - what a concept:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Is there anyone with a more delicate command of English than I have who'd like to explain it..?
Thank goodness you got that KC - couldn't even begin to be delicate about explaining it!

Going to find some strange truffles my Mom lobbed at me while over the pond! She does like to share her bad habits!

Nope, no recipejust the concept! Haven't tasted it yet, mind you. I couldn't choose a recipe, because the stuff really was foraged :rotfl:

I know! Dreadful if it had been true, tho it didn't *feel* dreadful, weirdly.
I hadn;t understood the beard thing until Z explained...lol
Anyway, today I'm *definitely* tidying up paperwork a bit more. When I was looking for the £50 that wasn't lostI found two pieces of post unopened from last week, thats not good.
I'm also very tempted to pop round to a neighbour's I saw on the way into town yesterday, and ask if I can scrounge some offcuts of carpet that were in their skip - it'd do brilliantly as temporary mulch
Bit of stuff I *must* do today - couple of emails, and **read the dratted meters** (shouty shouty) - I've been putting it off.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Glad you found the £50! Go for it with the neighbour, what a great idea.Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0

Huh! I thought I'd posted more than that yesterday ... well, here I am again ... late to bed after having to hoover up a beastie in the bedroom and chuck it outside ... I'd let up on the vibes - just confirming on here that I don't want them in the house, I don't want them in the house, I don't want to be kind to them any more, if they're still in the house tomorrow, they will die! Obviously, I'm talking about beasties here
And I didn't read the meter yesterday. I wonder what Eon will do? Don't really care ...
A lot of paid work today, 4 hours, in 3 parts, so nothing too much before hand. I *have* been through Martin's newsletter - found a link to the Book Depository, with free e-books, and while most of them are nothing to write home about, there's a 19th century boys' adventure author who's written a book called The Two Supercargoes - I'll download that for my family history studies, as there's a supercargo way back in the family history2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
