I just watched Escape to the Country and a couple were returning from Cyprus because they missed the cold and the greenery.

You want cold and green? Go to Canada for a while...

    Why would you come back?

Good question, lots of answers: I don't want to emigrate permanently, I don't want to have to come back to this country for medical reasons when I'm in my 80s, everywhere I'd like to overwinter is too hot for me in summer, and there are *several* places I'd like to go, not just one. Overwintering, or even a stay of 2 or 3 months, fits the bill perfectly :)

Most definitely :j Outside England, Canada is up there with Greece as my favourite country :) tho I won't be overwintering there, having seen the underground shopping malls in Toronto :eek:Th

Thanks Taxi! Yes, there's some really good potential there ... Southport is for the future, of course, and I'm happy where I am now, considering I actually have to, you know, work for a living :D but I'm a Saggi, and I do love to travel :)

Today, hurray, no paid work, which I arranged on purpose, and my partner is coming up here for a [strike]natter[/strike] very important meeting :D I'm having a pottering day - the most I might do is wield some woodfiller for 5 minutes or so :) otherwise its tidying up and tidying up and tidying up :)

Hooray for pottering.. and wielding woodfiller :D Not so hooray to tidying up (though it's good when it's done!)

The only tidying up I've done so far is add another book to the little pile the work-partner is going to take with him :D that makes four :j

I thought I'd have to make notes on one in particular, about genograms by John Bradshaw, but it turns out not only that there's umpteen websites about them, there's also free genogram software. I just love the interweb :j:j:j

...but KC the underground city is warm in the winter and air-conditioned in the summer! - when I worked in downtown TO, only had to spend 10 mins a day outside - walking to and from home to the bus stop!!! - even did all my shopping underground - no such thing as grocery delivery there!!!!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
