Oh dear, Sunny Hunny wasn't it's sunny self then :( And a tummy in uproar so you couldn't take advantage of the yummy food :( Castle Acre is always interesting though :T

Glad to see you back, hope the tummy behaves itself and you are soon feeling better.;)

Glad you are back I missed you posting. What a shame about the tummy in uproar but very exciting to be visited by hedgehogs and pregnant moggies.

I have always wanted to go to Norfolk.

The very posh mother of a friend once said "Surely nobody WANTS to go to Norfolk" :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I think all she remembered were very damp holidays but if she had caught it on a good day, with the sun shining, the huuuuge wide open skies with little tufts of cloud, and a calm sea with great beaches, interesting architecture and pretty villages she would have changed her mind.

    Hi all! **happy sigh**

Lovely little birthday tea was had, and Wol drove me right back to my house. She's a pearl - the bus runs every two hours _pale_ which can make things difficult :rotfl:

My tummy is now completely back in order - I think we might whisper the word "stress" here, and of course there was no stress this afternoon (erm, apart from a flat car battery on the horizon, but A Nice Man, in fact Two Nice Men, saw to that :D ).

Truthfully, I'd never have chosen Norfolk to go to, but I'm amazed at the amount of things to be seen in a ten mile radius of a tiny little coastal town. Hunstanton was, er, very like the area Merseyside I grew up in - New Brighton, anyone? - and so not a draw for me. There was probably more sleaze in New Brighton, especially in those days, which at the time was a lot of fun :D:D:D but on the whole nowadays I can do without neon. Fascinatingly (to me :D) ducks love the whole area - there were dozens around us, and two families actually lived on Hunstanton promenade, which was downright weird, especially on the stormy day we saw them...

Its still holiday for me, but tonight and tomorrow, I'm going to go for a bit of catching up on the garden and the house. No cleaning tho, I draw the line at that

Ooo, New Brighton! Reminds me of a day trip to there with my Nan. We went on a bus then a ferry then another bus. All I can remember is eating plums from a brown paper bag on the bus then throwing up on the conductor when he was checking our ticket :o

I also seem to remember a fun fair. I am with you on the neon though

I spent many a happy hour in New Brighton! :D:D As a small kid, as well as when we were teenagers - I remember being proud of the fact that an entire day had cost us £6 - and that was train fare, lunch in the cafe, ice cream, and a round of crazy golf :rotfl: MSE even as a teenager :rotfl: :rotfl:
