Matymoo - how did last weekend go? we got soaked test pitching a tent - tell me you fared better??
Greying
Well it did clash with the British Grand PrixSo I wasn't down there as long as usual this year sadly. The weather was changeable. Got burnt and then damp :rotfl:
I went down just before 3 on Saturday - Rock and Pop Day, had a couple of showers, so only stayed until 7pm. Great music (mostly) and they had a sound stage either side of the river. Strangely the music from each of them didn't seem to interfere with each other.
I went down just after 3 on Sunday - Jazz and Classical Day - and again we had a couple of short showers so I left just after 7pm. Loved all the music
Wasn't too impressed with the eco village to be honest. A lot of charity stalls, some trade stands that didn't seem to be remotely green or eco and a couple of alternative clothing and jewellery stalls.
But the whole thing is very well run, no long gaps between acts. Great range of food stalls with something for everyone. Plenty of toilets. It is such a good natured event with lots of happy people and I have never seen any trouble there. Although this year they did try to ban alcohol on the saturday unless you brought it at the beer tent and asked for people to bring moderate alcohol on Sunday. So maybe they had some trouble last time. But it is a very pleasant way to spend a day if you take a deckchair or blanket, picnic, layers to keep you cool, dry warm as the weather changes! People even take gazebo's and brollies.

Morning :hello:
Yes thank you! Very good holidayI had a smile to myself at MatyMoo on here, saying about getting burned then damp - if you cross out the "burned", then thats what we were :rotfl:though to be fair the skies only really opened once when we were outside - we were at Castle Acre, a huge Norman site, and we got very soggy indeed.
Lovely food in Norfolkthough I couldn't eat any of it as my stomach was in uproar
so I mostly sat and admired the views, which were splendiferous :j
And we had a hedgehog in the garden :j and a pregnant moggie :j and Hunstanton beach has many fewer shells than it did :j:rotfl:2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Glad you had a good time - the weather here hasn't been great, but could have been a whole lot worse!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0

We've been lucky with the weather and haven't got soggy yet - plenty of time for that, though. We're having a great time. Enjoy your staycation. But how can you know what you want till you get what you want and you see if you like it?0 -

I'm just catching up on diaries, am reinvigorated - or reigivorated, whichever you like- on the garden, and right now I'd better be shutting the lappie down, as I have to wrap a pressie from Norfolk Lavender for an mse owl of our acquaintance :kisses3: I'm always slightly dozier than I think I'm going to be - I imagined myself sawing things this morning, but it was not to be
