I think I must be an honourary scouser or maybe medieval person........ran a stall at DD's school fete on Saturday and everything was 20p, "or more if you're feeling flush"
Amazing how some people were so tight and others were fantastically generous, I did a good line in flirting with some of the dads too
Good job OH, who was beside me, knew it was all part of my sales patter

Hurray! Definitely an honorary scouser, KK! Hope you're doing okay, you were hurting a little while ago. Nice to see you, Cheri and Taxi.
Today, mmm, I'm lucky that I brought the lappie downstairs last night to play on in front of the tv - means I've already done the updates, of which there are *millions* for me today. 3 hours paid work, and I've got to do quite a lot of behind the scenes today, for various reasons. Ooh, and I think its drizzling - ha, means I don't have to water today, I would've had to otherwise. And ... ta-da! .... I ate raspberries from the garden last night! They were beeyootiful ... I'll be blogging about it later on today...
I'm turning out to be a bit slow getting going today - ach, got to get up to the office and start.
Hope everyone has a good day2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Glad you had a good time away
My best Pool conversation was when we asked a policeman the way to Sefton General Hospital and he said if I break your nose and then carried on to say that actually it wouldn't as it didn't have an A & E and then proceeded to give directions all very deadpan :rotfl:
If you come for the Marathon I would love to meet up pretty please

Hi KC. What weekend is the marathon on?
Re bulk buying Niccatw gave me this link for bulk buying natural cleaning products. Lovely things in there
Back to scouse humour, a girl I worked with (scouser) did a car boot sale and was selling books. She was fed up of people complaining and conversations like
Q what size is this dress
A 10
Q do you have it in a 12
A NO, I am not a retailer, just selling my old clothes
Q Well that isnt good customer service.......
So then
Q how much are your books
A 50p each of 3 for £2
Q Ok, can I have 6 please
A Of Course
Q Here is a fiver....... can I have 2x50p instead of a £1 for the change

Oh yes! We don't suffer fools gladly
Thanks for that link, Cheri - I've bookmarked it. Thats a brilliant idea for a website!
The marathon is Sunday 9th October - will you be able to make it too? It will be a proper meet any time now! :j:j:j
I'm hopping on and off here all the time - got one more piece of work to do, and I *will* have to water the garden - its overcast, not raining, rats :rotfl:

Thanks for the rain, Squizz
Cheri, it should be a really good day. I'm going to stay over an extra day, and go home on the Monday, so I can get back to my mum later in the day. I hope you can make it2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

yay to potential meeting up and have some of our rain we've had far too much of it. Although I hear in east englandshire its drought conditions - that will be dreadful for the farmers.
KC did I ever send you any bere flour to try is low gluten and you might find that you can tolerate it? Just a thought, happy to send you some if you want to try it.
Waves a heartly hello to everyone!
