All is good, Pippi - you read fine, don't worry - I didn't mention it originally :)

Just updated the blog on adventures in insect screening, thanks Lula! Today is another really long day of paid work, for which I know I should be grateful :o but I'm not, particularly - Squizz is on holiday, I'm going away for a long weekend tomorrow, and I want to go today too :D Please!

Well, anyway, there we are - time and space will not miraculously turn inside out, so I have stuff to do today - plus a couple of emails, a couple of phone calls, oh, and breakfast. And I may well have a butchers at moped sales online while I'm eating :D:D:D can't let Z down, after all :)

    • have you tried @pproved foods for storecupboard things? - last two winters I've stocked up for two of us for six months for about £40ish pounds including delivery...personally I don't think dried pasta or pulses have a 'real' use by date as they were invented precisely for the reason that they store well for the lean times! - but then again over the pond the winters are so harsh that by February, we'd eat anything that even remotely resembled food!

    Other "outlying" stuff:

    - ink cartridges for the computer
    • have you tried T3sco's knockoff cartridges - cheap and seem to last twice as long
    • or M!sco.com online for cheap 'real' brand ones?
bye for now - off to do some invoices & proof-reading!

Nope, I've never gone the Approved Foods route - I guess because it *is* all brands, and I've very rarely gone the branded route, even when I had money. Plus, being a wholefood vegetarian with gluten and dairy intolerances cuts down whats available from places like that _pale_ But I've just opened up their website right now, I have an unexpected 15 minutes, I'll have a little look see. Thanks!

And yes, I have *very* often wished to be on another planet - I knew the SF fans would pick that one up :D

Tesco cartridges - I never have - I always tried to, but I had that Dell printer for so long. but I do remember the big Tescos do them, and I have Epson now, so I'll give it another go - thanks for that! Deffo get them before the flu season :T

Good luck with the proof reading! I've got half an hour less work than I thought (busy day, v tired, so thats a good thing) and quite a bit was on the phone, so I could close my eyes :o:o:o I really *am* tired :o

Done my phone calls and emails tho :D

    Take care all.

Ooh, thats interesting, RT. I joined so I could check the delivery price - not bad at all. Thing is, even with the delivery price, I could only manage to get it up to £22 - can't afford to buy sweetie stuff like kit kats, much as I'd like to, as I'd eat 4 in two days if they were in the house. And sugar makes me ill .... I'll keep watching - its *very* interesting - the offers on dried pulses are really good, but its only just breaking even as is - I'll try again another time tho, its *really* interesting. Can't think straight at the mo, I'm working again in 15 mins.

    Ta muchly!

Which is a good job, or you'd turn inside out with it.

Trying to catch up a bit, hope you have a good break. For the @pproved food stuff, I think I put on someone elses thread, I use it for things like flour, pasta and rice, couscous etc; it doesn't matter if they are 'branded' and tbh often they are Mr A or tatco. It may be harder for you, with the gluten free stuff, but its worth looking every know and again.

    LOL at beating up Vulcans!

Yesterday was horrendous time-wise, its true, but I didn't feel horrible afterwards, which was another little miracle I'm very thankful for, and there were little easings during the day that made it a lot easier.

My cold is a bit worse today, sadly, and I feel, as the saying goes, like death warmed up - I keep having to remind myself that actually I don't feel that bad. I swear that when I get back, the job that takes top priority (and that is actually on this month's list :) ) is to clean the patio furniture, because then I can sit out in the morning on the patio at the back - its in shade in the morning, so I'll be okay. The first bit of today has gone well - the double glazing bloke turned up to do the snagging, and all was well.

I'll be shutting down the lappie in about an hour, away then over the weekend, I hope everyone has a good one, and *no* lurgies!
